I had a great evening at the Delaval Arms with two friends last night. The atmosphere was really welcoming with a good vibe throughout the pub. The food was delicious! I had the stuffed mushrooms for a starter which was amazing, followed by the beef burger washed down with a refreshing pint of Cruzcampo. For dessert, I couldn't resist trying the Sticky Toffee Pud, and it didn't disappoint! We all had a great time catching up. All the service was quick and friendly. I'll definitely be returning soon!
Had Sunday dinner as part of a group booking in the upstairs room. What a beautiful room with great views to Whitley bay despite the sea fret. We were a large group but our server coped brilliantly and it wasn’t too long a wait for the food. I ordered the small beef dinner which was almost perfect. The let down was that the beef wasn’t the expected pink as the menu suggested. It was tasty and we had plenty of veg to choose from. I do wonder if the veg portions would be the same had I been eating in a couple something I’m planning on going back to test. Some of the group got deserts which looked amazing with the cheese cake being called delicious. One other downside were the upstairs toilets which looked like they could have done with a good clean. Overall a good value dinner in beautiful surroundings and I would recommend.
We have only had drinks here. Fabulous friendly staff. Lovely bar area and outside area, mostly dog friendly. We will be back for dinner, the menu looked good.Service: 5/5

What a fantastic place to chill on a Sunday afternoon! My partner and I under advice from the bar staff ordered a local beer that was out of this world! Friendly staff and the customers were all lovely too! Thank you for a great time!Food: 5/5
We booked an evening meal and we were pleased our dog was welcome in the bar snug, the ideal place for her. Great atmosphere in the bar. Felt immediately at home. Very friendly staff. Order taken and service all at the right pace. The pint of Guinness was the best poured I've seen for a long time. We shall hasten back.Food: 4/5
Went for Sunday lunch. Excellent gluten free options! Lovely pub, good drink choices too. Would 100% recommend. Will definitely return. Dietary restrictions: Excellent options for anyone gluten free.
The Delaval Arms had my wife and I for my wife's birthday lunch. Each course left us feeling very fulfilled. In my opinion the afternoon went very quickly there, although we ate for an hour ago. The history there runs deep into the tradition of what it's like to live locally. We were able to savour some of that tradition by what we ate there. I'd recommend The Delaval Arms to all. Sometimes pubs are intimidating if your not from this part of the woods, but there was none of that there. We were made to feel welcome by the staff, with good good grub and a canny atmosphere. We'll go again, without a doubt.
A first class experience & will definitely be going back! Stunning interior with lots of attention to detail. It's own brewery to the pub. Superb range of beers as well as other drinks. Food is excellent; try the amazing fish & fries. A sumptuous main course, cooked to perfection. GO TO THIS PUB !!!
Fantastic food, atmosphere is great and the customer service is top class! Sam our waitress was so helpful, friendly & couldn't do enough for us. All the staff are brilliant. We would not hesitate to go back.Food: 5/5
