Very cozy, amazing, French restaurant on legendary brick lane. I believe run by two French ladies. It’s best do a reservation. The entire place has a very mainland European vibe. Music and food were amazing. It’s set in a very trendy area, right behind Spittalfield market as well as right below Shoreditch. So plenty of places for a drink afterwards. I’ll definitely be back.
I really loved the food! It tasted super authentic and homemade, especially the fries and the mayo DELICIOUS! The only reason I didn’t give five stars is because we didn’t get any bread which usually comes for free in French restaurants and the duck confit lacked a bit of side dishes… I thought it came with gratin dauphinois but it was more a spoon of mash potato. Besides that the cheese soufflé was DIVINE, I absolutely recommend it! The beef was cooked to perfection and came with the delicious fries! And finally, the crème brûlée with a hint of pistachio was creamy and light, don’t forget to order that one!
The nice little French place, with a pure Paris atmosphere !!! Very good food, and very peoples in there.. very good welcome… highly recommended !
Service is great and everyone was so iconically French which added to the superb atmosphere in the restaurant. Frog legs, aubergine and especially the creme brulee were good but the tartare was pretty bad just good enough to be edible and the duck a little mediocre. The price of the dishes is overall quite hefty too given the portions. The complimentary bread was acceptable but a very far cry from the bread I had in France, I get it we are not there but you can find much better bread in the UK and I expected a little better from a French restaurant. Overall is a nice place to visit with decent food. Definitely far better than the horrific Indian restaurants on that street, but not spectacular either.
Friendly service, nice interior. The food is good but not amazing.
My boyfriend and I celebrated my birthday at this venue. It had a wonderful atmosphere, lovely staff and interesting menu. We tried out their frog legs, snails, beef onglet and mussels paired with a great white wine recommendation. All but the legs tasted amazing the legs had a bit of a unpleasant smell which I attributed to the unusual meal. I would have given it 5 stars but I felt super sick a few hours later.
French place in Brick lane. Decorations was inviting with Christmas lights around the place. Food and wine choices are limited but delicious. I had their Charcuterie for starters to share followed by Beef Onglet served with fries and salad accompanied with great red wine. All very tasty!!Food: 5/5
The atmosphere and deco is great but I was disappointed with the food, it wasn’t fresh or full of flavour. The French fries were cold and almost could say double fried. I hope they can improve this amazing venue.
It is an amazing place to be with the couple or small group of friends. The food was absolutely delicious with wine. The music is also really good. I will definitely be back again and againFood: 5/5
Truly excellent bistro. Simple, elegant French food, done to perfection. Not the first time I've visited, and certainly not the last. They don't update their menu very often, but it's all good.Food: 5/5
