Rang up to order a taxi this evening, we were told that there wasn't a taxi available to get to us for about half an hour, but we were in no rush so we said that's fine. A couple of minutes later we receive a phone call from a man telling us he was outside and it was our taxi. As we were told half an hour, we weren't quite ready to go and said we were confused as we were told half an hour. The taxi driver was very rude and made it sound like we were stupid and that isn't what we were told and said 'no that's wrong i'm here now' so we ask him to wait for TWO minutes so we can put our coats on and get downstairs as we live in an apartment block and needed to physically get downstairs. He told us if we weren't downstairs in two minutes he would leave to do another job what? and there wouldn't be another taxi coming here after he had left. So we rush downstairs for him to tell us very rudely when we get into the taxi that you shouldn't keep taxis waiting like that when it took us two minutes to come down the stairs... He then didn't know where we were going so I told him I would just direct him and he spoke to me like I was stupid and didn't know where I was going. He ignored my instructions and asked for a place name nearby that he knew so we directed him somewhere. We asked him to stop near a cash machine and he tells us, again verrrry rudely, that there are no cash machines around where we were I infact know of at least two so this was a lie and said it's ridiculous to get into a taxi without the cash - however we were told half an hour initially and were going to use this time to get cash out so him turning up out of the blue and threatening to leave didn't exactly leave us time to get cash out... So he drops us off and we pay just under the taxi fare as it was all we had. So because he refused to listen to my directions he took us far away from our destination which was unnecessary if he had just listened to me in the first place. He was so rude even though we apologized to him when we first got into the taxi for taking the TWO minutes it took us to come downstairs even though he extremely unprofessionally threatened to leave. He was so rude the entire journey and it's a shame as we used this taxi service once before and they were great, on time and very nice but after this experience we will never use the taxi service again. I understand valentines day must be a busy night for taxis but if a taxi driver is unwilling to wait a couple of minutes for their customers to actually be able to leave the building as they weren't ready as they were HALF AN HOUR early and then is really rude to them when they get in then sorry but don't do a customer service job. Other taxi services in the city we've used have all been polite drivers, happy to wait a couple of minutes for you to come down the stairs and outside to them and they aren't rude if you ask them to stop at a cash machine which sorry but I know a million people who do this. So thank you Davy Liver for losing yourself a potential regular customer, maybe think about the people you hire next time if they're rude enough to drive away customers.
Terrible. Waited over 2 hours! Got told it would be half an hour. To ring back 40 mins later. To be told we was top of the piroty list and would be here asap. For us to wait another 30 mins. So we call again to be told the taxi driver had said he had been and gone.. to then be put on piroity. Listed our number and wouldnt answer any calls. Over 2 hour wait. Went with another company.
I'm so surprised by all the bad reviews. I always use these guys between South Liverpool and Lime Street and find them by far the cheapest, plus pretty reliable only occasionally a bit slow in arriving. They also have much nicer drivers than the usually awful Alpha or Delta ones.
Taxi drove off without us, didn't even wait 2 minutes after we waited half an hour on a Monday night!
Booking cancelled without reason, you can loose trains and flights with them
Waited for an hour and had to call another taxi service
They didn't even bother picking up the phone...
Avoid like the plague unprofessional and unreliable as anything!
