Dark Matter Cafe and Bar is a Gaming Cafe and Bar in Durham City, with Comic Books, Gaming Consoles, Board Games, and event nights with a great range of food and drinks from MASSIVE burgers, to Cake Shakes and more. NOW SERVING Alcohol!

Open Monday to Saturday 9am to 9pm and Sundays from 11am to 5pm

NOW OPEN a Cafe to just chill you can come and enjoy our range of comics available for sale and rent while you enjoy some great fresh brewed coffee and great food!

We will also be hosting Wizard Play Network Events with Dungeons and Dragons, Magic Trading Cards, Pokemon Trading Cards.

The most original place I've been for a long time. You may have a nice meal. You can play consoles, board games as well as ... a 30yo flipper!!! And the crew is not just "friendly" - they're fantastic. All thumbs up!

Great fun cafe/bar. Simple but tasty food. The milkshakes are great. Very intensely themed with a geek aesthetic. Avid or casual video game fans will enjoy this place

Staff are really friendly and were incredibly helpful when we sailed in with two babies. It’s a chill place to hang out, play board games, and admire the decor. The food isn’t amazing, but it’s good and inexpensive, and well worth it for the atmosphere.

Great cafe. Awesome food and drinks, they've recently changed their menu so there's more choice. All day breakfast is beautiful! And they now have an alcohol licence so if you fancy a beer or cocktail with your food that is very doable. Oh and not to forget the awesome geeky theme and merchandise. Definitely visit if you get chance =)
