Fantastic historic castle. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We had lunch in the Orangery which was delicious. There were people having afternoon tea which fantastic too. Had a wander around the castle and it has another dungeon restaurant with suits of armour dotted around. Great venue for weddings.

I was here for a wedding so I cannot comment on the rooms. Staff were very nice and polite, the place was very well presented and the meals were fantastic. Great views outside and around the castle with good parking. You can see there is a lot of history within this castle and the owners do a great job of up-keeping. Local shops about 5 min drive, so you’re not in the middle of nowhere.

This is an absolutely beautiful castle. The staff are ultra-helpful, the food is amazing and the rooms are full of old-world charm. The entire place is steeped in nearly a thousand years of history which makes it feel really special. The grounds are beautiful too, and there's even a falconry centre on site!

Amazing place with everything! Falconry, history, gorgeous scenery and a fantastic restaurant in the dungeons! Top class food, rooms large and well equipped, beds with memory foam toppers too. A wedding here is unbelievable, a pretty chapel, a Piper and an owl to deliver the rings - wow! Very impressed.

The room was lovely and the views where stunning. But there was. £50 holding fee that was took from my card. The bill was paid in full and three days later and disputes between the bank and the castle still no frisky back into my bank. This is terrible service as after paying 220 for a room for a night And not being told a further 50 will be put on hold for a couple of days. Absolutely shocking admin
