Overall, tasty food in an informal setting with decent wine and a good selection of desserts. Quite pricey for what you're getting, especially as there's fish and chips every other street. Service was OK, although we did visit on a Saturday night with a full restaurant and several large parties. The scallops were cooked very nicely, and the celeriac garnish was delicious. The crab bisque starter was fresh and crabby, and the calamari was nicely cooked and not greasy at all. The fish and chips were good, but quite dry and don't come with any accompaniment unless you pay extra for the mushy peas. The batter wasn't greasy, and the fish was nicely cooked. The chips were thick cut and moreish. It lives up to what people say in other reviews, but you can get fish and chips that are 90% as good for half the price at a good local chippy. There weren't too many vegetarian options, but in the end it is a fish restaurant. To keep the cost down we didn't get a dessert, but there were lots in the display cabinet that looked very good. CuttleFish is a good choice for fresh fish and a nice meal out, you can't go wrong unless you're a bit tight on budget.
A lovely restaurant near central Oxford- the staff were extremely kind and helpful, although the coffee was extremely slow to come. The food is delicious and the fish is fresh and high quality. The prices are also fair, £22 for a large half lobster and delicious crab linguine is definitely not a bad deal!
Such a find, and will be coming back for sure. My husband and I fancied seafood and this didn't disappoint. Out eldest likes some seafood and enjoyed trying new things. For those who are not keen on fish or seafood, there are burgers and grilled meat with fires which our youngest enjoyed. We ordered the cold seafood platter, muscles in garlic and sizzling tiger prawns. All food was fresh and tasty and there was plenty. The staff were friendly and helpful and there was a really relaxed atmosphere. Car park was behind restaraunt and convenient. Really enjoyable evening.
Tried this place as it was one of top places to eat. Very friendly islam lady was on her own, yet managed very well, was attentive and knew what is there. We tried Mediterian fish soup, that was very tasty and a mixed fish grill, that was well done and fishes were great. Place has a lot of spaces, but as it was work day people must have been at work, so there were no crowds and we loved that. Thank you for feeding and looking after us!!!
Saturday early evening meal. Very Welcoming pretty waitress guided us for a table of two. It was very busy whole day as we walked pass this place twice and saw them packed with customers. I had HomeMade Fishcake with steamed Spinach, white wine sauce and chips was so delicious. The best fishcake I've ever had My friend had Linguine with lobster plus Lady Grey tunic. Soft drinks. The hospitality was great. They girls let us know about Specials for the day before ordering. I would recommend it to everyone.
Was visiting Oxford with family for Oxford U open day and was trying to find a place to eat in town. Did not have high expectations but was genuinely very happy eating here. The food was surprisingly very good, particularly the fritto misto the seafood was seasoned and fried to perfection. Service also amazing and the two servers were both friendly and extremely helpful. What a gem in Oxford.

Really nice restaurant with a varied menu. Has an accessible entrance but the loos will be hard to use for a wheelchair. Otherwise worth. Visit for the extensive fish menu and various cocktails and soft drink mixups.Food: 5/5
Black squid ink spaghetti with mixed seafood is amazing! Loaded with various pump fresh-looking goodies. The sauce is tomatoey, gently garlicky, with a warm hint of spiciness, and perfectly coats the pasta. Lights up my day in the rainy weather. Thanks for providing the spoon. I literally emptied my bowl with it. One of the best-tasting pastas I’ve had in the UK so far. Of course many handmade ones are lovely but this sauce is phenomenal. Oysters are fresh and burst with the flavor of sea. Very warm and friendly service— carrying the heavy blackboard of “today’s special” to my table!! The dishes came so fast that I didn’t even have the chance to open my book. The comfort food menu! Probably one of the few reasons for me to want to move to Oxford from Cambridge. Brunch menu also looks nice. I was attracted by the Oxford Blue cheese but I have decided what to order for lunch. Maybe next time. And the caviars! Next time next time. It’s definitely worth hopping on the bus from city center and taking a stroll back.
