Very helpful staff on TV, gentleman named Dean Taylor. I went to Currys to get some information and help to chose between two TVs which I was interested and a gentleman called Dean Taylor help me a lot, his knowledge about technology is outstanding, I am very very pleased.

Had taken my laptop in to get repaired. had a good experience dropping it in Thursday 8th February 7pm, everything was explained clearly and they took the time to make sure i knew what was going on. 2 days later i then received a voicemail a few days later, it was almost inaudible. a short blunt message i had to listen to multiple times before i made out 'trafford centre' and realised it must be currys pc world. My experience collecting the laptop was poor at best. i went to collect it on Monday 12th February 2018 at 2pm. the man at the till point handed it back and said it was sorted.i asked him to explain what was done and he just said it had a system update, which wasn't why it went in. i asked again and he just said that it had been updated. this went round in circles for a while until i realised he was pretty much clueless. i then went on to feedback about the phone call, and that i couldnt understand what was said, and he replied 'cool'. i asked if he thought that was really acceptable and he just replied 'çool' again. the lack of customer service from the phone call and from my second visit took me back, and i was very dissappointed indeed. in the future i will look to different stores/repair companies before resorting to Currys PC World.

Looking at Fitbit watches, every question I asked the sales guy had to go and ask a manager. After a while I asked for the manager to come over he did and was very matter of fact telling me that no store in TC has all the watches on display and that a size guild is on the side of the box the end. I went into John Lewis the sales guy was 5* explained everything, he was able to demonstrate exactly how the watch worked and answered every question confidently. Curry’s PC World Disappointing!!!!!!!!

The sales guy tried to up sell me a laptop at least 10 times. I told him my price range and what I wanted to use the laptop for and he told me that the laptop I was originally looking at (£248) would lag and wouldn't be good for even just watching a YouTube video even though it was on clearance from £399 to £248. He then proceeded to take me through every laptop ABOVE my price range which I cannot afford. £499-1000 for a laptop to do uni work and watch some iplayer ? I don't think so. When I said I was looking for a laptop a little less pricey he was very negative towards any of the other laptops. On top of that he said that none of these laptops had office on anyway so I would HAVE to purchase a £160 package that included office and virus protection. I told him I would have a think about it and left. When I returned later I was approached by another man who helped me and said the laptop I was looking at would be great and told me it was in stock after he looked it up on his computer. Next thing I know... the first dude steps in on that deal and says "I'll help her!" And comes back from the stock room with a £283 laptop and says it's the setup one that was the only one they had in stock... even though the other guy had checked the system. I took his word for it and paid the extra £33. I'm also now in some sort of direct debit for warranty which I didn't ask for ??? I will NOT be returning to that particular store. I know you guys might be on commission but I'm on £5.50 an hour and you're gonna try and up sell me?? No student discount offered here either.... and by the way... sales dude that told me the £248 laptop wouldn't even work with YouTube videos.... it does. Perfect quality. Games too. My advice... use a different store.
