Not big as I imagined before I was being there. I think every FP has the same great figures and comic there. A bit old for the decoration of the shop when compare to other branches such as Newcastle FP as it calls itself International here in Manchester City.

A forbidden planet with a large range of funko pops and manga. The shop is very well organised and I always tend to find pops whenever I visit manchester that other forbidden planets don’t have. The staff is nice and friendly and it is situated very close to the city Center so it’s a nice short walk from Arndale. Definitely one of the top forbidden planet stores.

I came in today looking for a very difficult to find book the last ronin and I couldn't be more happy with the help I received from one of the staff I think his name was Owen, he has blonde curly hair in a ponytail and I believe he deserves some praise he immediately searched the system and all of the shelves and routed through some boxes just to find it for me. I absolutely love the book and I think Owen is a model of what good service looks like.

I always enjoy my visits here. It satisfies my inner geek and allows me to fully immerse myself in whatever world takes my fancy for a few minutes. When it first appeared many years ago, this was one of the only places in Manchester where I could indulge in my fantasy worlds. Now it's one of a few excellent stores that form part of my regular routes around central Manchester.  Split across two floors, this place gets really busy during the weekend so just be aware of this if you're not too keen on crowds. It can also get quite warm as well so be prepared.

Nerd and geek nirvana, what's more to say?  Great shop in the heart of the city, extremely popular and always busy. Huge range of options from graphic novels, comic books, board games to Pop Vinyl figures and rare collectors items including manga and figurines.  May find it hard to leave!

Visited here on 7/1/23 looking to purchase some Funko Pop Vinyls. They have a massive collection, with additional stock on the lower floor. There was a member of staff downstairs sorry, I didn't get his name, who was incredibly helpful. He asked me if there was any particular Funko that I was looking for, and then we got chatting about upcoming stock. He was very knowledgeable, and even advised me on websites to check to see what exclusive items were coming soon. Another great experience at Forbidden Planet!

No need for how rude the female shop assistant is with the short bleached hair. I was in her way & she said excuse me behind me, so I moved but it was obviously not the way she needed me to so she was abrupt & nasty. At 8 months pregnant I’m not the fastest but I won’t be buying my fellas Christmas present from there now, walked straight out. Do your job better.

I decided to have a little look around this shop while visiting Manchester this week. Massive variety of items, including pop funko figures, loungefly bags, and downstairs, has a massive anime and manga section. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find anything related to what I was looking for but there is definitely something here for everyone!

Good shop for lounge fly bags and other merchandise lord of rings anime merchandise books. Cups dolls. And merchandise collectibles down stairs

Always a must stop and visit when in Manchester city centre. I've bought a few Funkos, games and t-shirts over the years. Love the place.
