Excellent luxury hotel - completely stunning view of Portree Bay and grounds! Our favorite hotel stay in Scotland and we can't wait to come back. We had a premier room with a sea view which was completely worth the cost - we loved sitting in our room and taking in the magnificent view of Portree Bay from the privacy of our room. We had breakfast and dinner in the hotel's restaurant the View for 3 nights which was excellent and the view from the restaurant was worth it! Service in the restaurant was excellent. The bed was very comfy and the bathroom spacious, excellent facilities and bathrobes included! We can't wait to stay here again!
We stayed here one night and the location is incredible! The view is the best, absolutely the best. The rooms are well maintained and comfortable. Our room had a nice view but the shower doesn’t have a door so water splashed everywhere on the floor. We appreciated the signs from town directing us to the hotel which made it easy to get to. The checkin process was very quick and friendly. We ordered food in the bar and ate it on the lawn with drinks when we arrived and it was very relaxing. We had dinner in the restaurant and while the food was good, the service was quite poor. The waitress forgot to put in the order for one of our main dishes, rarely checked on us or refilled water glasses or asked to get us more drinks… that definitely was not a good experience for us.nnThe breakfast was good- many hot and cold options.nnParking was easy. It was a great spot to go and explore the Isle of Skye!nnWe would definitely consider staying here again.
Amazing hotel, excellent restaurant, solid service, incredible location. A short walk from center of Portree. Loved spending four nights here in July 2024. Staff is very friendly and helpful—especially the wonderful Anna. Months in advance of our arrival hotel made super recommendations for local restaurants, every one spot in. The hotel breakfasts were delicious, varied and fresh. There is a downstairs lounge that's so comfortable we were tempted to spend hours there watching the view. Our dinner at the hotel restaurant was also lovely, and the dining room views of Portree are sublime. We booked a room with a view and felt it was worth the extra cost. You better book this place and local restaurants early, though. It’s deservedly busy.
We stayed here back in Dec of 2023 and I still remember this hotel very fondly. It is one of the best that I have stayed in. The service was absolutely excellent. Our room was large and very comfortable. The grounds and location are beautiful and we also enjoyed the restaurant, especially breakfast. 100% would and hope to stay again.
A superb hotel in a beautiful setting. Everything about this establishment was beyond our expectations, especially the wonderful staff. From the moment we were greeted at the reception desk, to the send-off breakfast, the staff catered to our every enjoyment. I cannot say enough about the service. The staff were always courteous, professional, and friendly. The rooms were very clean, and the common areas the same. The excellent dining experience was overshadowed only by the magnificent view of Portree and the surrounding area. I would recommend a stay at this hotel to others without hesitation.
