Big pub crossover restaurant. Superb drinking hall entry into an old styled blend to modern touches. Great selection of beers, including tank fresh. Slow & moody service. City boy crowd but good overall vibe with tunes and atmosphere.
We were looking for a place where we can take a rest after visiting The London Tower and finally try some fish&chips in London. I randomly choosed this nice place in Google Maps and it was a great choice. Staff was kind and helpful and we really enjoyed our food and drinks. Interiors were really nice and we liked how quiet it was during our visit 3-4pm. Loved the place.
A good ole English pub with good verity of ales and pub classic meals. Service was great and friendly. A+
Attended with the work lot for our end of month social and we had the best night! Dinner was really nice and the service was so so good! Super friendly & speedy which was amazing considering there was 16 of us! They really looked after us. Highly recommend for dinner & pints! Thanks to Oli & the team for a great evening, you are a credit to the pub - we will definitely be back
Amazing place. British style. Place is clean, comparing with other places in London.
Working in the City, with so many watering holes in less than a stone’s throw, I keep coming back here. The beer is good, a good range, loads of tables, decent food, a lovely secluded outdoor area away from the fumes of passing cars, decent attentive staff across the board. There are many quality staff to commend but Cieran serves a quality pint every time, something of a rarity in the City sadly. Always polite, always professional, even when faced with a “mob” of thirsty City workers trying to get a drink or two in on their lunchtime.
Beautiful space near Tower of London with great pies and a fantastic selection of real ale and craft. Highly recommend to tourists as it's quieter and lovely on Saturdays, whilst weekdays the crowd is fantastic and lively. Staff are polite and the garden has TVs and is adorable.
Nice place, stylish. The food was aiming in the right direction - the chocked with mushrooms worked well, the mushroom arancini had not mushrooms… But it was the service that was hit and miss. I don’t know whether it was because they were too busy/short staffed or something else. It was strange as we were a 20+ group. Somethings seemed to take forever, there were different people asking whether we wanted to order food/drinks, etc ‍
Probably my favourite City pub! Absolutely enormous inside with lots of seating options - from dark & cosy to light & airy - even offering a small, attractive garden area. Very good food menu - better than traditional pub grub - good size portions and good quality. Good to see that they value vegan customers too by giving them decent options! Very good range of real ales and craft beers - all well kept. Staff are friendly and hard- working; clearing tables quickly. Free WiFi connects simply - without needing a logon. A great option for City workers and tourists alike!
Nice pub, deceptively alot bigger inside than it appears. Good decor and the drinks were good all night.
