Really cannot fault this place, within 3 minutes of being there, we were laughing and joking with staff like we were all mates! Service was second to none, food came out promptly and was absolutely unreal!! Really funky venue, didn’t even know it was there until recently! Would recommend 100x! Like a stylish Gourmet London Bar/Restaurant in the middle of Eastbourne!

A hidden gem in the heart of Eastbourne. A small cosy restaurant tucked away in the basement of building. Set down a small flight of stairs, the entrance then opens into the restaurant area. The menu is small but you understand why with the quality of food served. Extensive wine menu (as it was a popular wine bar previously). Steaks are a total winner, plenty of sizes and choices. Tender, full of flavour but cost is a little higher than most places. Staff are friendly, attentive and knowledgeable with the wine choice and menu. Certainly worth a visit if your visiting Eastbourne or just a local. Bookings highly recommended.

We had lunch in Cru during our weekend stay in Eastbourne. I have to say the food is more exceptional than many of the restaurants we had in London. The staff was very considerate for our gluten free requirement, the lady offered to go outside to get gluten free pasta for us, and then the chef offered to change the pasta to risotto. We are very impressed with the service provided.
