Probably the best slice of Banoffee Pie i have ever had, so fresh, plus nice and cold! This Restaurant has some really lovely looking food, the range of hot meals, sandwiches & fresh cakes, plus of course, hot & cold beverages, seating inside upstairs & downstairs, plus outside in the shopping centre. It does get very busy at times with large queues, but I would certainly recommend it as I don't eat cakes very often, so this was well worth the wait, I also found the staff to be friendly.

My first visit here seemed to get off to a good start - looking at the menu, it looked very nice....Until the coffee order was wrong, then I have a bite of the fruit cake (yuk, was bland tasteless and just the worst fruit cake I have ever tasted and didn't even saynon the label that it contained nuts). Then I saw all these people que up for there lunch (and for some of these older customers that would have been there only hot meal of the day) however I saw a lady handle food with her gloveless hands then touch her hair & then EVERY meal they dished up they put in a microwave to heat up!!!! What sort of restaurant heats up every meal they make?? From veg, to chips it was the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen in a restaurant. Although what I had was bad enough I'm glad I didn't ask for anything else. It's safe to say that I will never visit again & I would never recommend the 'restaurant' to anyone.

What a ripoff!! Very overpriced, had lasagna which they heat up in a microwave with beans and a small Diet Coke.... just short of £9 At least Dick Turpin wore a mask!!!!

We are regular customers at Shades the food is excellent, today my husband enjoyed the steak pie the meat delicious lean and tender. Another favourite is the fish and chips truly second to none and everything is piping hot. The service was friendly and extremely helpful. Value for money and quality makes this a venue not to miss.

This looks like a place that does good food and drink but the location of this place is not very cosy(in the middle of a shopping centre!)
