Fantastic hotel. All rooms are nicely decorated with clean fluffy towels sheets and pillows. Room are not sound proof so you will hear people walking up and down the corridor outside and doors shutting so if you are up early ask reception for a room in a quiet area. The food is better in my opinion than other hotels within the area as it’s not just chips and salad with everything you get healthy potatoes and vegetables even though I did have a pizza one night. Information about ordering room service via email displayed inside the room is incorrect as I found out but this was quickly found out. Hotel located near but not on a main road so is easily accessible to all areas of Basingstoke and surrounding areas and London. I would highly recommend this hotel to family groups, couples, business meeting and any occasions you could think of. Thank you for making my stay pleasurable.
Could not recommending it more! We came here to spend our anniversary together. The room was spotless - especially now with the Covid-19 pandemic. All nice and clean, disinfected, sealed. Check-in was really quick, the receptionist was very friendly. Night receptionists were very friendly too. Everything I've asked for, they had available and given to me. The restaurant staff was super quick, professional and made sure we had everything we needed. Great variety of food for dinner and breakfast was exceptional as well. Anna, from breakfast, I must say, was above and beyond! Did not receive such a great service at any other hotel we stayded. The room itself was equipped with iron and ironing board, plenty of sockets even international sockets, 40" screen TV - everything you need.Got a spacious room, with a nice view of the nature, and very quiet at night. Had a very good sleep, and a great anniversary. Thank you for such a great experience and service!
Lovely hotel with great, friendly staff. They welcomed us and our children extremely warmly and made our life a lot easier! The evening buffet for the children was brilliant as it meant they could eat without waiting ages and pick what they wanted and change their minds easily enough. The grown up food was also very tasty. On a personal preference I thought the food was a bit 'poncy' for my taste but that's entirely a personal thing! Would definitely look to stay here again if I was in the area.
Staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room and decor was perfect, walked in and smelt fresh and clean. They even folded a towel in shape of an elephant for our sons bed. Love these kind of details!! Food in restaurant was great and had vegan options would totally recommend here for a stay thank youRooms: 5/5
The staff were really friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated in a quite area. The room was modern and clean, but the air conditioning did not stay on the set temperature and kept changing. The restaurant- chicken burger or the duck breast or the cheese board not so good. The morning breakfast is your standard layout.
The reception and bar are lovely and the website advertise a lovely looking room. Only to find out only half of the hotel has been upgrade and the room I got was nothing like the pictures online. Staff helpful and though work booked me a single bed room they gave me a double. Breakfast was lovely and the pancake making machine made perfect tasty pancakes. Would I stay again? Yes I would and hope to see what the new rooms are like.
We had a lovely stay here at Crowne Plaza Basingstoke. The check-in was fast and efficient despite all the COVID-19 hassle going around. The room was spotless clean, spacios, well equipped with iron, ironing table, hangers, luggage holder, big tv, mini fridge, comfortable bed, plenty towels etc.we had a lovely dinner and breakfast was very diverse with plenty of choices. All the staff were helpful and polite, but Anna from breakfast area went above and beyond our expectations with excellent service, extremely polite and helpful with any requests we had.
From the outside it doesn't look great however, when myself and my daughter arrived we was greeted with smiles, everything was explained brilliant, the lady on reception had a goody bad ready for my daughter. The rooms are cosy very comfortable bed. Bathroom clean bath is big. The food was brilliant I had the trout, pudding was good too. Only thing is they didn't have a good selection of beers on tap at the bar overall I would stay again
Stayed in this hotel once a month for the last 5 months. Not once I have been booked in the new renovated rooms. When ask to be changed, reception claims to be fully booked. However I could still book online if I wanted to. The "old" dated room do have a slight unpleasant smell and make creaky noises but are clean and the beds are very comfortable. It can take a very long time to be served in the restaurant, but the food has been decent.
Very nice hotel. Only bad point I can think of is that because of the layout it can be a long walk from the entrance to your room. The room was to a very good standard. The breakfast was amazing quality with a great selection. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The Gym was an ok size and very well equipped. The restaurant is reasonably priced. We ate before arriving but next time we stay here we will definitely make use of the restaurant for evening meal. Location wise there are plenty of takeaways nearby and a couple of supermarkets a short drive away. Would definitely stay again and definitely recommend.
