Went here for Sunday lunch. The bar staff were very friendly and welcoming even though it was our first visit. Lunch was probably among the best we have ever had. Good selection of real ales. It is a lovely pub with a great atmosphere and obviously popular with the locals. We will be back!!
A friendly and very-COVID-safe lunch stop. Great real cider from Long Mynd cider, pleasant scotch egg and super-local charcuterie provided by Shropshire Salumi. Dining is currently only outside. Lots of open-air tables and three covered tables. Table service only. We felt really welcome and the chair/tables worked well despite the roadside setting. Thank you, Michelle et al!
Great local pub. Always a warm welcome by Michelle. Very popular, great food, best to book. Thoroughly recommended.
Excellent beer and friendly landlady
Lovely village pub, great cask ales, beautifully kept and some amazing bar snacks. We tried the Black pudding scotch eggs, pork pies and salami and all three were superb.
Amazing! We passed through for a drink and lunch... Was greeted by a lovely women Sorry didn't catch her name. Service was amazing and the food was cooked to perfection and presented so well! We had chicken & mushroom risotto and sausage & mash with a side of chips... Highly recommended!!!
Stopped in Clunton at rented property and visited The Crown the day before we left, big mistake, should have gone much earlier in the week. The welcome was amazing as was the beer and the food. The people who live nearby are very fortunate indeed!
Very friendly pub. High quality food and drink. Beautiful interior and a small but pleasant outdoor seating area. Great place to stop while out walking in this underrated and thus quiet and peaceful part of england.
Excellent roast dinner, they even do a take out! Lovely local 'village owned' country pub with helpful and friendly staff. Dogs welcome. Highly recommended.
It's a shame we can give this place only 5 stars. The best food we have ever eaten, and we have eaten all over the world. The maitre'd, bar maid, chef and locals were all very friendly and welcoming to my wife and I and our 2 kids. Nothing was too much for them. The saying a hidden gem is very often an over-used phrase, but this place certainly is one.
