Cosy, warm and welcoming. Both staff and other diners were so lovely and chatty. Food was all of very good quality, although we felt a tad over priced at £19.50 for pie, chips n veg. If the veg had been I included, we'd be more likely to return. The veg for three alone cost £13.50, and the portions were slim.Service: 5/5
What a find! We holiday in this area quite frequently and always make our way back here for a meal. Last night was no exception and we had an excellent meal from an interesting and varied menu, were served by friendly staff in comfortable surroundings. THANK YOU We hope to return soon!
Stayed here last weekend and had a lovely time. Very attentive and welcoming staff the food is fabulous, Richard does a great job in the kitchen and well supported by Jane and the front of hours staff.
Great Sunday lunch, wonderful beef and roast potatoes masses of vegetables gravy, Yorkshire pudding and horseradish sauce. Very friendly. Good parking opposite.
Fabulous old pub full of character & charm, fireplaces, comfy sofas & a stunning terraced beer garden with rattan furniture & pizza oven. Food was well above average & cocktail menu a lovely surprise. Thoroughly recommend.
When the Archangels finally sound the last trump and, mistakenly, I am somehow summoned to celestial eternity then anything served for the initial heavenly dinner other than one better, a couple of your S & K puddings will be a sorry disappointment and I shall insist on a transfer. Suet crust that beggars superlatives!

We cannot recommend The Crown Country Inn enough! We stayed for 2 nights and the room had a lovely authentic feel, wooden beams, lovely view. Was very clean and well kept. Breakfast in the morning was very well received and helped keep our energy levels up for our days of walking around the local countryside! Chef was very accommodating to our dietary needs too! Pub is great for evening meals or a few drinks or both! , takeaway also available. They take the current restrictions very seriously which was reassuring for us as well. Lovely atmosphere, proper country pub with lovely owners, very pleasant staff and excellent food and drink! Sticky toffee pudding was the best I've had!
This is one of the friendlies Inn / Pub where we have been in years. We bookt only for one night, but we good easily stayed for much longer. When we me Bertie and my wife Helene walked in the Inn on Saturday afternoon, we felt immediately at home. A nice atmosphere, lovely open fire and warm sfeervolle X-mas decorations. The room was warm, clean and cozy. Jane & Richard the owners are lovely host. The food was very good. The dinner, breakfast and the Sunday Lunch was to a high standard prepared and served by Richard and the friendly staff. Not anything was a problem, and all was relaxed and take your time.
