Nice people, great food, price reasonable. They were very helpful re ensuring I had a safe gluten free meal, even showed me the ingredients label for the ketchup.

My husband and I called in to the Crown for something to eat as we were in the area. My brother lives not for from Llandegla. The food was absolutely amazing and plentiful. However, the experience was spoiled by the young lady who served us. When we asked if we could have a table, she waved her hand in the direction or a tiny table against the wall although the restaurant was empty except for another couple. I asked if we could sit somewhere else nearer the fire as it was bitterly cold outside and we were freezing. After a few minutes she came over with menus and told us about the specials again using the wave of her hand this time towards a blank wall. My husband and I looked at each other puzzled, on investigation, I found the special board around the corner from where we were sat. Our food came and as I said, the food was amazing. After about 20 minutes, another couple came in, from their accents I guessed they were local (We are from Liverpool) The same young lady looked after them in a totally different manner to how we had been 'welcomed' She was friendly, warm and explained the special menu to them in full detail all the time engaging in small talk. I commented to my husband that there is obviously a different way locals are treated to passers by. I'll admit I deliberately said it loudly enough to be heard. Oh the change ... she came over asking if everything was ok with our food, had we walmed up as we looked cold when we came in etc ... Although the food was second to none, we will not be returning nor would I recommend the Crown to friends and family as a big part of a dining experience is the manner in which you are looked after by the staff.

Traditional pub but exactly what the doctor ordered. Be nice if the car park could be improved and care must bd taken crossing the road.

Absolutely stunning service followed by the best piece of gammon I have eaten on some time.My wife had the braised shoulder of lamb which I didn't think she would finish. She did Totally recommend this place😁😁😁😁

Really cosy atmosphere with great food and generous portions. Perfect after a cold day mountain biking at the nearby trail centre.
