Run by Rich & Rosie Hughes-Moseley, the Boars Head has a long-running reputation for being a friendly, trouble free, welcoming to all pub.

Serving quality lagers & ales, bottled drinks & a range of other alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages, as well as providing plenty of indoor seating and a sheltered, heated outdoor area.

Disabled facilities are also on site.

A popular venue at weekends, bank holidays, Christmas & New year, as well as Ruthin Festival day.

Used to work here and spend a lot of my time socially here as well. The landlord is well liked and respected. Beware of the waffle.

Small pub located off of the main square. Have been there twice and loved the atmosphere. Patrons and staff were very friendly. There were a good selection of beers on tap and also a good variety of other drinks. Prices were very cheap and service was good. Only main downfall was the poor state of the toilets. I would rate 5 stars otherwise.

As mentioned by a few other visitors, a good welcoming friendly pub a stones throw away from the Castle. Recommend a pint of the 'best' bitter
