Basic pub food at very good prices with a good range of drinks and great service.nnBuilding was a little cold, and fairly empty so lacked atmosphere, but that’s no fault of the pub, but it was a Friday evening.nnFood is great value and tasty - it classic pub menu. Fairly basic but tasty.
Visited for the first time tonight with my partner and 4 daughters after seeing the Google reviews. They managed to accommodate us with short notice and well what can we say what a gem this place is in Ruthin. The food is quality and you get plenty which is always a bonus when you have a healthy appetite like myself. I would recommend the double lamb and mint burger really delicious and the chips are incredible. The staff are really friendly and attentive, we couldn't fault it what a great evening we will be back to try your Sunday lunch for sure.
We popped in for a Sunday roast and the food was absolutely AMAZING!!! Not the usual way things are run as food and drinks are separate businesses and are paid for separately, but doesn't effect anything other than you having to order drinks from the bar while food is table service.nnService was a tad slow, we eventually got up to ask if we could order puddings. Staff were friendly though.nnAgain the puddings were amazing. No one left a crumb.nnHighly recommended!!
We was visiting the area and staying at the castle so we decided to go to the farmers arms for a meal has good reviews and it was very friendly. The stuff was very helpful. The portions of food was very plentiful more than I could handle the wife enjoyed her meal too. Please note the pub is only open for meals on a Friday Saturday and Sunday evenings I think and also prices are very reasonable
It says food served from 12, good reviews on Google so I walked from Ruthin Castle bit of a cold evening so ready to have some lovely hot food nnUnfortunately I was told they stop serving food at 4pm !! Couldn’t believe it !!nnThere were people still eating and not half through their food and this was 5pm !!nnI did find a welcoming pub and great food though I’ll save that for another review
