This is an excellent fitness programme based on all round fitness for everything. Its model of fitness is nearer to that of the decathlete than the triathlete, taking in strength, co-ordination, balance, flexibility as well as endurance. Workouts are short and intense and there is a lot of Olympic-style lifting - clean and jerk, snatch, squats and deadlifts - all of which are taught by the trainer. I started a month ago and have lost 8lbs while toning up noticeably. My dodgy knee feels 100 times better and I have a lot more energy. Miles who runs the place is friendly and knowledgeable. If you're currently at LA Fitness or Fitness First then try one of his free lessons. You will not believe the difference in the expertise of the trainer nor how hard you work. You will gain a level of fitness beyond anything you can achieve with a treadmill and weights machines here and you'll have fun while doing it.

Well started my Crossfit life with a 5 class introduction programme. Everything was taught from scratch in a one-to-one environment. Each lesson developed on the skills learned in the previous one and every technique was scalable to suit all strengths and abilities. Scrapped my Lloyds membership and joined Crossfit. Lost a stone in 6 weeks and now i'm lifting heavier weights than even my instructor!! Highly recommended give it a go!!
