Old country pub nothing new old school with regular locals, very pleasant and welcoming with open fire.

Went today for roast dinner , worst experience of my life. Got told not enough lamb so I ordered 1 lamb and 1beef , 45mins later got told no beef left so I said pork then . After asking for our lunch twice it came , I'm going to say no more except what a joke . Tiny scraps of meat 1 roast potato and a small dish of veg which consists of 1 cauliflower floret (discoloured) 4 peas and 4 carrots (slices) and when I asked if this vegetables was for 2 people they said yes as they don't have anymore , disgusted I said I'm sorry but I cannot pay for a meal like this the owner said ok I give you it half price . We couldn't believe what he said and we said we do not want it at all and left. .Total of one and a half hours wasted in that place after having such a lovely day out . Went to Rothbury bakery (beautiful sandwich and a pie ) mrs Logan
