Very nice pub in Rothbury. Called up before to mention I was vegan and they said they would be happy to substitute the vegetarian options to cater our needs, as they try to do for all dietary requirements . Had the veggie burger (made vegan) which was delicious and came with some excellent chips and at a reasonable price. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to all, including normal people as my dad said the beef burger was to die for. 5*

Had lunch at the Turks with my daughter today. Our dogs and us were made to feel very welcome. We both had a Turks bacon cheese burger and it was by far the best burger I've ever had and the chips were good too. Even though they were very busy, we didn't have to wait too long for our food. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return.

First time at the Turks head had some lovely food well cooked and piping hot we had the steak pie followed by cheesecake looking forward to another visit now

Came here for lunch with friends. Fab steak and ale pie, brilliant service and magic, friendly craic and No, I'm not Irish! This lovely pub is the best. I've asked my kids for vouchers for Christmas so we can visit again. Keep up the good work

Set in a picturesque village, the Turks head offers a wide selection of food at very reasonable prices. Service was excellent, food was delicious, and would thoroughly recommend. The only gotcha being that spaces are somewhat limited - totally understandable for the size of the place. Worth phoning ahead if you are a large party though, or you might find yourself Sat in the garden!
