We went twice whilst on holiday. Really good for allergies, they made a sauce from scratch to accommodate. The tomato sauce with the chicken was spicy, the rice was lovely and the veg was cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was lovely. Would go again.
I had the pleasure of eating at the Turks head pub and I have to say it is a proper pub.nnThe food was great, All staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, Extremely dog friendly, food was quick coming out and was great value. Clean plates all round!nnOverall I don’t have a single bad word about the Turks head 5 stars!!!
Been for 3 meals there in the last month all were excellent. Today's Sunday lunch was like proper home cooked good with the best gravy. Always well looked after by staff and the pub always has a nice buzz about it. Excellent garden out the back if the rain ever stops!
We have just returned from a great visit to Northumberland staying in Rothbury. We paid several visits to The Turks Head in Rothbury…well what can I say? ..the food, which we both sampled a selection of, was excellent; the quality, presentation & quality were all amazing. The staff so friendly & helpful, couldn’t do enough to help. Onto the bar..well! a really good selection of beers/lagers/cider & spirits. Again, the staff led by a brilliant licensee were very friendly & such good fun. The local customers couldn’t have been more welcoming… within half an hour on our first visit we felt as though we belonged; this only increased as the week went on. We cannot recommend The Turks Head enough. Cannot wait to return.
Magnificent place, couldn't ask for more.nAttended my son's wedding there,nStaff extremely helpful and wedding breakfast was delicious. Would love another visit there. Unfortunately I live in the Midlands. Special mention for wedding organiser and James in charge of the bar!! Thank you all. Brigid Rhodes
