I recently attended the out patients dept. at Cromer hospital and can honestly say that the service provided could not be improved upon. Parking is easy, the hospital is spotlessly clean in all public areas, all members of staff that I spoke to were welcoming and informative , and the medical attention I received was thorough and professional. It is a great pity that there are so few hospitals in Britain that are able to meet this high standard.
I have just had screening at Cromer hospital for aortic aneurysm. What a fabulous service. My scan took place 22 minutes after I left home! Instant results all good. Thank for being here for us all! And now sitting in their new and immaculate cafe having a coffee.
Walked in at 10.10am this morning , xray done, broken foot diagnosed, boot fitted, and walked out at 10.50am. Such lovely friendly people too. Thank you very much Cromer
This is a modern, friendly and efficient district hospital providing a range of on-demand and appointment services check their web site as these can change. There is no A&E here. Toilets and a cafe are open to the public with clear signage to help find them. I have always found the staff to be welcoming and caring. There is a reasonable sized car park that is a little expensive but there is lots of free roadside parking close by. It's a short walk from Cromer town centre and the seaside pier. All in all a much nicer experience than visiting the huge county hospitals.
I accompanied my mother to an outpatients appointment today. From booking into reception, meeting the nurse and consultant and then onwards to the radiology department I was nothing but impressed. The cleanliness of the departments need commenting on and thanks given to the staff who continue to keep the environment so immaculately clean . Thank you to all the staff who made an anxious lady feel reassured and a number one priority, even though it was a very busy day. You should be proud of the jobs you do, and you all are a credit to the NHS! Thank you
Minor injuries unit 31.7.22. Pleasant, professional service. This is an excellent service to have access to, where treatment for minor injuries is delivered very quickly and effectively. My only criticism was the request for us to wear a face mask. ALL of the peer reviewed evidence now shows that face masks make no difference to transmission of covid why anyone is surprised at this is beyond me, they're designed to be splash guards in clinical settings, not virus protection, that's why you don't see virologists working with live viruses wearing only a face mask. Even a poor stressed out lad who walked in with a sprained wrist was made to put one on. Not a surgical mask, of course. One of those t-shirt material ones that are only good for coordinating with your wife's handbag. Request to wear a face mask denied. Apart from that however, our experience of this service is first class, thank you!
What a rude awful human being the lady on reception is. You clearly hate your job and everyone who walks through the door is putting you out. Please do the rest of the team a favour and leave. You let the hospital down. A quick look down the reviews and someone else also thought reception is awful. Why work in a public facing job if you can’t be polite. You either need retraining our your P45. The public pay your wages so put a smile on your face and do your job in a polite a professional manner. I didn’t catch the name tag but my visit was on 10 July around 5pm.
A very quick alternative to Norwich A&E, some of the 1star comments need to remember that this is only a “minor” injuries department. Will happily go again instead of waiting 8hours in Norwich
Was told I need to take myself to Norwich hospital, 45 minutes away, after being told my airways are closing rapidly and if it gets much worse and closes fully I may only have 2 minutes to live! I was in Cromer on holiday, a similar visit to my local walk in centre 4 weeks ago was sorted with antibiotics within ten minutes!
Having been told by my GP to take my 6 year old son to minor injuries, I was greeted by a rather unpleasant receptionist- Tracy I believe her name tag read. She was so patronising and even asked me if I was aware I was in minor injuries. The whole waiting room can hear every word said at the reception desk and it was a rather unpleasant experience.
