Had three nights here with Doug cooking an amazing breakfast each morning to get us on our way. Comfy, nice warm bed and fluffy towels. The bathroom and bath/shower lovely and warm. Plenty of room. You do have to drive into Ballater if you want to go out. The hikes just behind Crannach House are excellent. Doug has got a lot of local knowledge. Good location to visit local attractions.

Wonderful stay! Doug was so kind and helful! I stayed by myself with my little dog, I felt been really well looking aftered by him. The house is lovely and clean, loved his homemade pan cakes.

Doug is a fab host, and the place is great! Clean and cosy room, and lovely cooked breakfast. Doug also was super accommodating in providing lots of vegan options for breakfast which was much appreciated!

Excellent place to stay, room very clean and comfortable, breakfast v/good, owner ex baker so bread outstanding. No problem coming back for sure.
