Had a really REALLY nice meal here and was absolutely blown away by the quality of food. It is a small place so if you need a table for 3+ people book in advance. All the seafood was fresh and you can tell and all comes from the west coast. Bread & Butter pudding was delicious. I shed a tear of joy with each bite! Parking: Plenty of streets to park on. If you go late then most on street parking is free.
Absolutely delicious seafood and lovely staff, our server Katy O was brilliant and gave us some great recommendations when we weren't sure what to get. All of the food was absolutely delicious. We had the taramasalata, the garlic scallops, the dressed crab and the anchovies, all of which were fantastic. The taramasalata was a very nice recommendation, probably wouldn't have tried it otherwise! Will definitely be coming again.
What a brilliant surprise! Awesome night out starting with great service we booked the bar stools & cocktails. Food choices made easier by the staff, & every dish was delicious. Favourites included the oysters, fresh anchovies, scallops & light tempura squid.Food: 5/5
The dining experience at Crabshakk was truly exceptional. The menu offerings including our choice delectable crab cakes, flavourful spaghetti vongole, monkfish accompanied by a rich bisque, and a heavenly sweet bread and butter pudding served with homemade ice cream. The service provided was exemplary, reflecting a standard of excellence. Nestled in a charming and intimate setting, this restaurant offers a culinary journey that is truly unforgettable. It was the perfect place to celebrate our wedding anniversary, providing us with a memorable afternoon filled with exquisite flavours and impeccable service. We can’t wait to visit again.
Food was divine! We ordered off the specials menu which changes every time, but wanted to post the “standard menu” in case others want to see it. The whole fish picture is of mackerel with salsa verde, which perfectly complemented the mackerel. We also had sardines with cannellini and chillis, as well as a monkfish squid tomato stew. Both were divine. Sadly we ate them before getting a picture. Nom nom! Dessert did not disappoint either - flourless chocolate cake and plum salad with almond pastille and vanilla ice cream. Great meal! Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free options!
Delicious but expensive and small portions maybe that's just my American expectations. Also, the seating was uncomfortable for my mom, who is in her 70s. We had tall stools with no backs, which was not ideal for her.Food: 4/5
The portion of seafood is relatively small, but it is enough to eat with noodles. It is cooked on the spot so the waiting time is a little long. Dressed crab is recommended. Mussels and scallops are average. The environment is very good Tips not complusoryFood: 4/5
Food was great! We had oysters, sardines and langoustines. Only downside was when we arrived, the restaurant was pretty much empty, and we were told the only seats available were right by the door… and the door was kept open the whole time and it was freezing. Just seems a little silly Food: 5/5
Every dish was perfectly executed, the seafood is fresh, however, among the 3 small crab cakes each about 3-4cm diameter 2 got a piece of sharp edged hard crab shell in it, that’s dangerous!Food: 4/5
One of my favourite places to eat in Glasgow. Service was excellent, food is always exceptional. Would highly recommend. The lobster and mussels are a must, as are the fried and garlic mayoFood: 5/5
