One of the best council I ever experienced. My experience is based with private house rented team. Because of their help I’m able to cop many challenges. If the Birmingham city council private house rented team didn’t help me in my most difficult situation, I had been homeless or facing many troubles. I really appreciate their support and their legal help. Keep helping the people. You guys are doing a fantastic job. Thanks again specially officer Thohura and their team.
My partner got a clean air zone charge in August. Then was diagnosed with an aortic aneurism threatening her life. It was on the verge of rupturing. She was told until her surgery she was to not stress about anything as it could KILL her. During this period as we have 4 kids one disabled child and I work two jobs to try get us into a house she decided to stay with her mum briefly and the post wasn’t replied to during this period. And this charge escalated. She come back to bailiffs taking £500 then they still want more. Despite all medical evidence being provided. I can’t believe the disgust I feel for you. Truly and awful council. Absolutely disgusting.
This place shafted me for a ulez charge driving home following a Satnav to get home with my 2yr old son in the back seat. How dare they. I'm paying it and contesting it. Genuinely going to fill up my dirty diesel car and park outside mosques and council building with engine running. Here's your clean air zone. Get lost ya bunch of money laundering politicians.
First ever time driving on Birmingham outskirts. Didn't know it was a clean air zone. I was following sat nav closely as didn't want to get lost as it looks like it could be easily done. Anyway, received the pcn for £120, appealed, eventually it got refused. Sending emails after emails trying to call to appeal again. Got no response from anyone! Eventually got a letter saying I owe £180. Same said in another review. The council are in financial disrepair so charging folk through the nose for stupid clean air zones that are not clearly sign posted. I would have gladly paid the £8. Do they honestly think that I'd rather pay an extortionate amount for something I didn't even know about. Absolute joke! The council are that broke they can barely afford to get their street cleansers proper Birmingham council refuse sacks.
Awful council. More than a year ago I called them to let them know that I was leaving my apartment and my new address was not in Birmingham. I gave them my new address and I was told that I should pay £240 for my last payment. I paid on the same day. After 14 months, they sent me a bill to my new address with a £145 balance subject to court proceedings. I contacted them and the lady told me the original amount was £70 and we sent many letters to your address my previous address in Birmingham and now you should pay £75 more for force enforcement total £145 if you don't want to the court. How stupid is their system that they don't even send an email to me as I have an account on their website or call me. I paid the amount but it was an unfair money. I hope I don't hear from them anymore. However, it is not surprising if they take me to court and say we didn't receive your payment!
I expected a building with greenish surroundings decorated with tree pathways. They can at least decorate the area with flower boxes to promote environmental friendly mentality. I hope the council consider these changes
I’m abit concerned and confused how Birmingham has not got my case considered I don’t live in Leicester I live in Birmingham also my child does live in Birmingham aswell how is this fair that I’m unemployed have to go other side of city to another city to attend Leicester magistrate court when I don’t live in Leicester or my child aswell abit lost. How Leicester got away with that.

IVE NOW ENVOLVED MY LOCAL COUNCILOR AND I AM TALKING TO THE NEWS PAPERS YOUR A DISCRACE GET IT SORTED DO YOU THINK ITS ACEPTABLE TO HAVE RUBBISH EVERYWHERE MAGETS ON THE FLOOR RATS IN BINS MY GOD WHATS HAPPENING TO THIS COUNTRY
