Coral Reef Bracknell's Waterworld

Pretty disappointing to be honest. I haven't been to Coral Reef for many years so was excited to see what they had done to the place after spending millions on it. I don't know how bad it had got, but I didn't see any difference to how it was all those years ago. It's the same pool! They have added flumes, which I guess is where all the money went, but the flumes open at 15.30 and we went during the day with our toddler. As far as stuff for a toddler to do, it's pretty poor. A couple of slides and a half arsed attempt at some 'toys'. None of which are new to the swimming pool game. The infamous Pirate Ship still stands, but there is nothing to do on it. Just a slide to come back down. You could squirt water using the guns that come on once in a while I suppose. I find it amusing that there is a sign outside, about 20 metres from the door, that says '90 minute wait from this sign'. If I waited more than 10 minutes for this pool I would be annoyed, definitely not worth it. Maybe the flumes are EPIC, and that makes it all worth it. But I can imagine the queues are massive for them. On top of this, the place is already looking run down. There are bits hanging off the pirate ship. Our changing room had a leg hanging off. It really wasn't what I was expecting. It was cheap to get in though. £12 for two adults and a 2 year old. Off peak.

Awful experience. Firstly the website was so difficult to use, then trying to book on the phone impossible just rings and rings. I tried to go holiday time and it was fully booked all day. Because I couldn't get through on the phone I went to go into reception but of course you need a car park ticket, something like £3. I only needed 5 minutes to run in but with a warden walking around I was so scared not to buy one. Luckily a lady had 30 minutes on hers left so borrowed that. A complete nightmare and if you want disappointed kids go there. Never got inside so can't rate the new swimming pool. Will not be heading back there in the near future. Awful experience.

The Spa looks really lovely. Nice to get free cold drinks. Where were mags? Jacuzzi was too hot at first but they fixed it. Good to have some more loungers too. Changing rooms are much improved. Car park tarmac is pretty terrible.

Really great for the kids! We booked our slot as it was peak time, well worth doing. Clean changing rooms, the family rooms were a good size (but there were quite a few people using them instead of the single rooms. With 3 kids we needed the bigger changing room!) Very friendly staff. Be aware if you prepay for parking... we called ahead as we couldn't print the confirmation. We were told we didn't need it as long as we showed the email (we called) but when we arrived we were told we did need to display our confirmation. But, we paid & displayed and got the money back.

It's a good trip, clean and bright, polite helpful staff. I don't like the shower set up, would prefer male and female showers so I can properly remove the chlorine, but I'm sensitive to chlorine so this is more of a concern to me. Not sure it's worth the peak hours cost unless it's for a group of 8-13 year olds. But the babies enjoyed it. Be aware that the Friday before and the Monday after any school break is a 'peak time' charging day, we were caught out.
