You may be interested to know our rather handsome historic old building just happened to supply the whole of Newquay with water from its well. Yes, really. We serve a fantastic range of food and drinks including full kids, gluten free and vegan menus in our really relaxed, welcoming space running across two floors and out into a huge and terribly groovy courtyard at the back. The medicine society surf trip saw us take to the streets of Newquay. There's a wide variety of restaurants here, and well, I wouldn't choose this one. We paid for our food at 20:08 and it wasn't in front of us until 20:58 - shocking. The staff themselves were lovely but that simply couldn't compensate for the wait times. This wasn't just the case for me, all party members had wait times of close to an hour and the restaurant wasn't even busy. The only caveat is that the staff did make the wait times clear. The food itself was pretty decent in my experience although party members had a varied experience across the board. I think the burgers are a safe bet for anyone unsure. Prices are fairly standard although drinks were very expensive. If you come to visit Newquay, choose carefully... Dietary restrictions: Allergies were handled well - just had to order at the bar separately.
I am new in town, and I felt in love with these place since I saw it. What makes this place so special is the decoration and the staff. Since I know this place just a month ago I came ...... Like.... 10 times... I really love the way the staff smile at me... You will see me again and again guys!
The breakfastpancakes, English breakfast and coffee here was great but I had wait for a bit of time for the food to be served. Furthermore, dogs seems to be allowed in and one was barking so it got a bit noisy. However, the overall ambience was good.
We use these bars all over the country as we tend to get about, usually rating them very highly but on this occasion I have to knock a couple of stars off, unfortunately. The place itself is not as nice/smart as we’ve come to expect, just not quite up to standard. I also felt the menu was a bit restricted, a few more choices would be good, and it would be nice to see the tapas menu we’ve enjoyed at other venues - I would be a good addition. The staff were very polite and friendly so top makes there.
Was very busy but was worth the wait. Lots of choice for vegans/vegetarians. Not pricey either. Lovely decor inside and plenty of seats! Service was very friendly, get seated fast which is a bonus.
On holiday for 3 nights so popped in to Newquay on the way to St Ives. Its a smart building and spacious inside. In summer I imagine it's packed! It was quiet and chilled out. Service average.....sourdough toast and jam minimalistic and not as good as BTP. Same with lattes.....one size only....no choice of a large as in BTP. Nice decor though, as is always the case with A Lounge....
Highly recommend the Concho Lounge. Lovely greeter/server, made us feel welcome straight away. Really relaxed atmosphere, will definitely be coming back.
Popped into this pub for a quick drink on their terrace and didn't want to leave so stayed for 4 hours! Amazing drinks cocktails 2-4-1 after 5pm ordered food that we expected to be 'pub grub' but was actually incredible! Large terrace, lovely sun spot with a good mixture of shade for those that prefer. Dog friendly and even a book swap point! Friendly and welcoming staff. Thanks for having us :
Absolutely love this place. Very friendly and informative staff coupled with fantastic food. . . . what's not to like. Lovely interior and decor and clean loos. We always visit when in Newquay.
Really nice food and lovely outdoor terrace for a sunny day staff are nice and chill
