Lovely location we booked breakfast here for daughters birthday. The lady servers there are lovely and friendly. The place inside was very nice and clean too. We did want a window seat but we’re told none available even though there were some empty and still empty when we left we were also a bit chilly as we were directly under air con unit. My food was lovely - my daughter did ask for everything well done which they took literally and even the toast was almost black but suppose that was our fault for not specifying. It was a nice treat though with spectacular views over the ocean xx
Fabulous place. Amazing food and the service was outstanding. 28 people at a Xmas party and it's was just perfect. Food all came out of time. Absolutely the best Christmas party food I've had. Well done to everybody. Definitely will be back next year. Xx
Incredible. Best meal I've ever had. Ever. Beautiful views outside, clean and spacious inside. Service was just the right pace. Kate was a wonderful host. The food was just amazing. Plentiful. Tasty. Fresh. We spent a fair bit on a three course meal but excellent value.
Second time here and not disappointed. Good selection of dishes. Vegan/Veggie choices. Dogs not allowed in restaurant part, but plenty of tables outside and in bar, first come first served. Great view from terrace area. Unobtrusive, but attentive service.
Stopped in for a bite. We had tea. Everyone was warm and friendly. The view was breathtaking. Food was quite good, tea was hot and delicious.. the experience left a wonderful impression. I highly recommend this place. Very clean and well cared about. Wonderful location.
Fantastic ocean views and ambience. Rooms are big and clean with huge viewing windows for taking it all in. So mesmerised by the rolling ocean that the TV didn't get turned on. fresh milk available for the pod coffee machine. Room service was well within expected delivery times. downstairs is open plan restaurant, lounge dinner and bar. cocktails were made to perfectionactually better. staff are really friendly and accommodating with the food requests. I was so happy with my stay that I booked my birthday weekend which had a 2 for 3 night offer which I snapped up. WELL DONE EVERYONE HIGHLY RECOMMEND
We did have to wait an hour for our food but it was worth the wait and the view made up for it too. We both had roast beef and everything was absolutely delicious. Melt in mouth beef and the gravy was out of this world. Veg and pots cooked perfectly. Can not fault any of it. Highly recommended. Wheelchair accessibility: It could be a lot more wheelchair accessible in my opinion. Only 2 disabled parking spots and the large gravel makes it very difficult and dangerous for electric wheelchairs or anyone with mobility issues. Inside the pub is very accessible with plenty of room between tables to allow wheelchairs.
We had dinner with burger and salmon. The burger was good, the salmon was a bit overcooked and dry. Other people we were dinning with weren't so keen about the food either. The Service was nice and polite. But the communication could be better. We ordered purple broccoli as a side dish. We got normal broccoli. When we ask what happened they told us they had no purple broccoli left. They could have checked with us if we would like normal instead.
Turned up at dinner time without a booking. Was informed the restaurant was fully booked, but there was a table free in the bar area. The menu was a bit more varied than you would expect for a hotel restaurant, so took the opportunity to order something new, and was rewarded for the gamble by a well balanced dish.
Regular visitor. Ample parking and nice little walk after to the headland if needed. Food is always really good and a wide selection of choices. Great views over Newquay and excellent outdoor seating if it's not too windy. Service is always attentive and staff are very friendly.Food: 5/5
