Whilst needing accommodation for a surprise 75th birthday party, we booked in to Combe House as it was one of the few B&B's that had some space. What started off as necessity turned into a wonderful surprise! Chris was extremely welcoming into her charming, 3 bedroom B&B where we were shown around the property and introduced to her two lovely dogs and her cat who were in the lovely little garden where we were served tea and freshly made flapjacks. The rooms were the perfect mix of 17th century charm with the modern necessities, with WIFI, wall mounted TVs, extremely comfy beds. Also each of en suites were amazing! With hotel-esque facilities attached to each bedroom. Everything was clean and tidy, the rooms were well stocked with a variety of teas and coffees, with all the wash stuff you could need kept in the bathrooms. There is also a car parking section with space for one large or two smaller cars at the end of the garden. Breakfast time and food is flexible dependant on your needs, but what a treat! You can smell the full english (if that was your choice) being cooked below. In the breakfast room you are welcomed with a large variety of cereals, fresh fruits, tea, coffee, hand made bread and toast cooked to your liking (which for lightly toasted like me was brilliant). As a host, Chris was fantastic. She was always polite and courteous and was extremely helpful, all whilst not getting under your feet. She was able to supply some childrens books and cater to our dietary needs quickly and efficiently, without it ever being a chore! All in all, this was a amazing stay, in beautiful property, in a picturesque Devonshire town, with fantastic service. We can't recommend enough!
