Phoned the shop late last wednesday afternoon when my tv just stopped working. Very helpful over the phone and suggested to save time and money to bring the tv along to the shop the next day. Immediately diagnosed a possible electrical fault with the incoming power. Left with him after an initial payment of £60 to examine the tv. Phoned on monday to say everything was repaired and only an additional £30 was required. Came back to the shop monday afternnoon, picked up the tv, now back in place and in working order. Very professional service without fault.

0/5. A sad place full of excuses and false promises. The left channel of my clean and revised vintage 1973 Pioneer amplifier had stopped working due to moving my house and I was foolish enough to believe Colin Mitchell was the man to fix it. After 8 weeks, the initial £45 fee paid, 3 visits, being lied to ("It is now being inspected in the workshop" while I could clearly see it still sitting under the counter) and lectured about time management of self-employed people, I was out of patience. A man would expect a true audio specialist to be delighted to have a chance to look inside a Japanese good quality product. No, Mr. Mitchell did not even have the decency to check his logbook dates, pick up the phone and put his customer at ease about the delay. What a joke of a business!

Quite Useless. Had my amp for over 1 year, excuse after excuse after excuse. Admitted he hadn't a clue what was wrong.

If I could give NIL I would. This man knows NOTHING about HUMAX'S, though says he does. I own a Humax which has been giving me problems re the break-up in the picture and after ringing Humax a couple of times they finally advised me to have a cable going direct from the Broadband connection into the Humax. I contacted this man and asked for an extimate giving the length of cable required. After 1 week's time I rang again and he told me the cable was probably not the problem and that it would be best if he saw it. After coming to my house, he said that one update had not been done, so he did that and said it would be okay now and charged £65.00 for the pleasure. The Humax was not okay so after a couple of days I rang again and he said that he would have to order a cable. The quality of the picture was driving us mad, so after 10 days I rang again and he said he had just ordered the cable and he would came when it arrived. A few days later, he rang to say he had the cable and coming to mend it. He came with 2 different length cables and attached it to the Broadband and the Humax and as he was leaving said that the connection into the Humax was a bit loose so be careful with it and tied it to the TV stand leaving a length of approx. 20 feet extra in a loose pile in the corner and said that all would be well now. He said that he would not ask for more money this time and only £20. for the cable. IT HAS NOT BEEN. I did not wish him to come back so I measured the length cable as accurately as I could and I am quite disabled as is my husband and looked up on Amazon for one. After trying to find the best one for the job in the correct length I order a cable with a copper wire which a lot of people recommended. I got a good cable which fits very nicely without any large amount left to cause accident for the princely price of £7.00 delivered the next day. A young girl who comes every two weeks to help me clean up came yesterday and knew of the problems with reception that I had so fixed the cable in place. Right she said ""Turn on the TV" which we did and hey presto! the picture if fixed. When we took the old cable off that he sold me for £20.00 it could be seen that both connections were faulty so this cable was certainly not new. A good connection of proper cable with good connections at both ends were what was required and in the end I sorted it out myself and paid a lot extra for someone to not help in any way. Extremely disappointed.
