A good selection of well kept, cask conditioned ales from Hydes Brewery with first class service from this regular entry to the Good Beer Guide. Such a comfortable pub to have a mid-morning pint.
Had such a nice meal here, and the service was so quick and attentive, considering it was a really busy Saturday night!nnThere's a great menu with lots of options and something everyone would like! The prices are very competitive with other places around.nnThe food we had was absolutely delicious, and I had the best fish and chips I've had for a long time. Had the mini crumble and hot drink, and it was still a really good size.nnThe staff were all so friendly and made our visit. There is a carpark but it's small and was full. We parked in the car park next to Sainsbury's, which was close by and free after 6 pm.
My wife and I called in late Sunday afternoon on the off chance and were greeted with a warm welcome. We were given the choice of eating in the pub or the restaurant and opted for table service in the restaurant.nWe had the Sunday roast platter to share and it was excellent. More than plenty of both meat and veg and both were cooked beautifully.nThe staff were also very attentive and couldn't do enough for us. Great job all round and will definitely return for another visit.nfantastic quality, service and value for money.
3rd time one is here lucky number 3 and best experience thus far.nGot “accidentally” booked for 3 shifts. Sent me home & said I can charge but I said I wouldn’t esp if I can cancel my 2nd night here.nLOVELY girl sorted it & even let me get into my lovely room at like midday. Such compassion letting me cancel when she didn’t have to. Lovely nWent on a mini pub crawl apart from smoke most were meh came back for a nightcap and some grub and omg. The BEST … one of the most impressive chefs in a while. She will go a long way. All the young bar lads are super sound too! Hopefully I’ll be back. At some stage.nPs Manchester > Liverpool lol
We all enjoyed a lovely meal here, everything cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. Lots of choice on the menu although vegetarian choices a little limited and a few dishes not available. Staff and service were very good and toilets very clean. The decor and atmosphere was interesting and welcoming. Will definitely eat here again. 5*
