During our stay in Ventnor, the local Co-op was our favourite place to shop for groceries. Good choice of fresh items summer fruits, vegetables, bread, food ready for cooking or heating... and other types of products. We were lucky enough to grab a pack of Tyrrells limited edition crisps, they were lovely. It is conveniently located, very close to the bus stop. There is also a parking at the back of the shop.nnWe enjoyed the large range of opening hours.nnThe staff may seem busy at all times, but some of them are actually very helpful.
It is what it is, prices not bad and you can usually find what you want.
Although fairly small store it has plenty of variety if goods. Aisles accommodate 2 trolleys with no space in between them. Staff are helpful .nHas all of the basics you need. Their Jersey potatoes have an excellent taste.nGood value for money.nThey do deliver..
Self service checkouts never work properly and in fact today 08/07/2024 none of them were working and only 2 maned checkouts were working and for a busy Saturday a very long wait, I think in general the whole store is a shambles.
Last week the staff completely surrounded me, which was kind of odd.nI had to remind them about social distancing they were so close.nMy friend said it was odd, maybe they thought I was stealing, my friend seemed to think it may of been because I am light brown in colour lol.nNow,I don't have a chip on my shoulder but when a white person tells you that was odd it made me rethink were they following me or did my female white friend see something I didn't.nI myself just hope they all followed me and we all met together by chance at the same spot, about 4 or 5 staff members great service.nIt was odd though
