On Saturday 21st December I Phoned boots at midday to ask if a prescription was ready. They said the pharmacy just has to sign it off and it will be ready this afternoon. I went there at 4.45 and they were Closing, I said I come to collect a prescription what was urgent as it was for a infection. They said come back Monday, and pointed to a note on the door to say they were closing early. Do they think I spend all my time wondering around Ventnor Town looking at notes on to see if they are closing early. When I phoned at midday they should have said that I need to come befor a certain time as they were closing early. At the end of the day they advertise closing time is 5.30 and they are paid to that time. Now I have to suffer till Monday. I don't normally complain but boots just seem to open and close when ever they feel like.
Fantastic staff and pharmacist got me out of a real pickle after for getting one of my many medications.nYou were so kind and helpful I won't for get the caring way you help me.nBest wishes David.
Closed for lunch, 1h:15min!nDoesnt say on the website. They put a sign on the door.nI was there waiting while another 10people were trying to pusn the doors to open .lol. Awful
For a small store the stock is still basic.nThe staff struggle to have enough staff present to run the shop and pharmacy.nnLong queues are very common and is subject to random unexpected closures as they cant seem to keep a pharmacist!nnThe staff there are up against it and do a great job given the circumstances!nLast year it was sweltering, the air con was off as I was told too expensive to run!nnJust waiting in the queue was unbearable, how the staff worked in it all day I dont know very unfair treatment of the staff for such a well known company!
THEY DON'T DO EMERGENCY PRESCRIPTIONS GO TO A DIFFERENT PHARMACYnnI ran out of a repeat prescription and went on the NHS website to see what to do, it said if you bring your empty medication and some ID, any pharmacist will be able to look at your records and prescribe a small about of medication until you get your prescription.nnWhen I asked at the counter, the three pharmacists there instantly said 'no we don't do that, 111 sends people here and we tell them to go to the hospital' one of them was particularly rude but the other 2 were nice.nnSo I walked round the corner to Jhoots pharmacy and asked them and they sorted it out right away and had no issues.nSeems like they might not be as well trained they were older people
