My daughter is 28 and regularly visits Hollins Grove Co-op with her two children.  She lives and works locally so the shop is convenient.  On four occasions she has been asked, by the same staff member, to provide proof of her age.  This she has happily done recognising this is the law.  Last week the same staff member encouraged her to take a bonus card, which should only be issued to customers aged 18 and over.  Today my daughter was again asked to provide ID when she attemped to buy a high energy drink, prohibited to those under 16.  When my daughter reminded her she had already produced ID to her on four occasions, the staff member confirmed she knew her age but became aggressive, waved a pamphlet at her and informed her that she wouldn't serve her without proof of ID.  It seems customer service and ones experience of shopping at the co-op depends on which member of staff is on duty.

Layout is not very consumer friendly, unlike the staff which are! Nice to see ;)

Wide range of food & drink.
A bit pricy but that's what you pay for the convenience of a local shop

I want to complain about the woman who works at the co-op on hollins grove, with shortish yellow hair. Went in today looked up and and she is just staring at me while serving a customer, even when I looked up she didn't turn away and just carried on giving me a dirty look. Don't know if she has a problem but everytime I go in she looks like a bulldog chewing a wasp! Can not fault the store or rest of the staff they are very nice.
