Terrible shop, everything is overly expensive £1.00 for a pint of milk for example. Staff never at any of the tills, don't open promptly at 6am so your standing in the cold wind and rain waiting 20 minutes. End of day reduced stuff still overly expensive. £4.50 for a pizza on its sell buy date reduced to £4.30 joke !
Choice of products is not bad for the size of the shop but shelves are often empty. Self check out problematic. Very expensive. Door from Mortimer Street has been not working for weeks. I am seriously considering walking to Morrisons as although it is further away it is cheaper with more of a selection.
Terrible...stood waiting for one of the staff to come serve to be told they are only taking cash....useless shop
Don't like the new layout, no proper checkouts, it makes it awkward when using a trolley to shop, you have to unpack your trolley and hand it to the staff and then try to pack it up at the same time, que was long only one till open, staff member spent more time talking into his headset and scanning too quick, it made me get flustered. Good range of stock and clean, but staff/lack of staff not good
As the only central mid-segment supermarket in Herne Bay it offers a convenience-oriented assortment, adding a bit of diversity and quality. It's not very large, so limited for a full grocery shop. The Post Office service point is particularly handy.
I would highly recommend the little co op in herne bay high street and beltindge Staff always helpful nothing is to much trouble Standard of goods highly satisfactory and nicely displayed Shopping without stress is a highly valuable commodity which the staff have this wrapped up to a t for us customers... Almost feels like its family run that secures any support that u may need or advice Good team work and high in good spirits Bonus with the co op card plenty competition on line this christmas time to win goodies so come and join the co op team for an easy and friendly shopping experience
Let's be honest the Co op has survived because it is has good quality food and pleasent staff not only in Herne Bay but every Co op store's locally. Long may they stand.
It's the staff. so helpful and professional. Good quality food and an excellent vegan range..albeit I'm vegetarian .
They should check food dates more. My fault too. Bought honey ham and its use by next day!
The shop layout is too small and cramped since the refit, And with covid restrictions even more so.
