Co-op Food - Bracebridge Drive

All of the staff here are an absolute delight. Always say hello and are more than happy to help.

I was helped today by a female behind the main counter at about 19:20 hours today. She was white, dark brown hair/black hair in a pony tail style and wearing a grey fleece. Hopefully the Management will know who I'm referring to as she needs to be acknowledged on how good her Customer Service skills are and her helpfulness requires recognition. I really appreciated her help. Thank you

Co op on Bracebridge is a legend. I've been going in there since 1982. The Scoop shop was upstairs. The staff are the best ever.

Most of the food has past it’s sell by date I bought a pack of tagiliatelle pasta on 18/11/22 went to use it today 19/11/22 and realised it had gone off from before I had even purchased it, how lazy of them the sell by date was 16/11/22. I also ordered on Uber eats 3 days ago when I purchased some pistachios and while eating them I came across a few mouldy ones and some with bugs in. So sickening.

Good selection of products for a small-ish local supermarket. Excellent service friendly, polite, helpful staff. A tad pricey to use for my weekly grocery shopping but great for a mid week top-up or for buying things I've run out of.

It can be difficult to get served in this store. Mornings very busy lunch time very busy. Evenings not so bad always a queue though. Outside on Bracebridge Drive during daytime it can be manic . Always full of cars and drivers feeling road rage. It's a rare moment when you come across a fellow driver who will give you a chance to get out of your car to be able to even enter the store.Best time for me are the evenings between 9 and 10 PM. As a disabled person who has a walking difficulty and I'm not tall either it can be problem in the store , also, often a lack of staff .Have to hunt them down to get assistance in reaching products on high shelves. However it is the nearest store that is accessible to me and not to large to get around. One or two girl assistants are very nice and friendly and very helpful . Sadly I can't say that for all of them. Some of them don't seem to want to work. Quite a few of them hide in the back until they are ordered to the tills.That is why they only get a 3 star rating from me.

Often low on stock, very poor social distancing, queuing for the tills is haphazard at best. The self checkouts are temperamental and they don't have enough staff to deal with stuff at most times.
