I bought 0.235 kg of shallot onion loose, and they charged me for 0.385 kg, which is charge of 150g extra. I recognized it when I weighed it in another weighing machine as I was not sure about the weight. When I talked to them they said that it was just some variations in the weighing machine. However, even if it is the problem with calibration it would not be a difference of 150 grams. So, all the customers should be aware this.
You can find almost everything in this store. It's so crowded most of the time, especially on the weekend. Price a bit expensive. You can also buy Halal meat from here, frozen meat, pastry, fruits, milk, yoghurt, and all the glosories items you need. There are a lot of spices for curry, you can choose what spices you want they have everything in this store. It's worth it to come here.
Told the man at the butchers at sharif and sons to give me fresh breasts to cut into strips, he seemed abit not wanting to do it, and I told him give me £3.00 in money worth of meat. He then said is £3.23 ok I said no, make it £3.00 then he said is that ok I said no take abit off then it reached to £2.99 then he slammed the meat inside the bag, and it was £2.99 after that I said to him the way you threw the meat in the bag was highly disrespectful and I did not like that at all, very disrespectful.
I asked for half kg lamb meetnGot home to cook it and discovered its all bones and hardly any meat.nPlus took me long time to cooknI think he gave me mutton not lampnBut I paid extra money to have lampn. Very disappointed in this store.
Always my go shop to get halal meat, vegs and other Asian stuff. Nearly anything i need for cooking dishes from my country that i cant find somewhere else i can find in here. Great varieties of fruits n vegs. Only negative things,the serving in the meat counter often too slow. Many staffs behind the counter but they are always busy doing other things and leave only one person seving all meat customers. Also on the tills, some of staffs are sometimes quite rude, scan your stuffs, pass them to you but look at somewhere else. No Thank you after you pay.
