Update: After laying out the details below to the customer service, they did successfully refund me within the period. I have raised their rating from 1* to 3* because they did respond accordingly. I do wish however that they fix their booking system so people actually get their rides. At the end of the day, I was better of getting a cab at the station rather than booking through them which is a shame. Old review: I'm writing here to save people the pain and quite literally the money of booking with these crooks. Pre-booked and paid in advance for 2 cab rides and managed to not get any rides! In both instances, the link that they sent me to track my ride wasn't updated with the cab arriving until it suddenly said that the cabs had been stood down. I wasn't called or contacted and the link they gave me didn't give me any useful information to contact the cab. I ended up having to pay cabs waiting on the spot as I could not haul my 3 large suitcases myself. Now that I'm trying to get a refund, they basically have said 'no' and the 'evidence' they gave me was basically that they couldn't reach my phone number though it was clearly working. Even when I emailed them to try and get a refund, they took more than 2 weeks to get back to me and only because I emailed them to chase them.
Waited 25 minutes for a taxi, then received a telephone call saying that the driver would be a further 25minutes. I remonstrated with me over the delay and he abruptly ended the call. A further 50 minutes later I received a call from the call centre saying they hoped to get a taxi to me in 50 minutes time. Apparently the previous driver objected to me complaining to him and refused to pick me up. I cancelled the booking. Disgraceful, inept, inefficient and useless company.
I work for a company that uses CMAC for taxi’s. Whenever I’m staying away from home and I require a taxi to get me to and from my workplace I always book these taxi’s in advance of more than 30 minutes before I need to leave and it’s very rare that they will arrive within that half an hour or the designated time that the taxi is scheduled to arrive. I have been forced to get an Uber on multiple occasions just because the taxi doesn’t show up until an hour or so later, it’s completely ridiculous.
Absolute shambles of a company at booking taxis. I work in the transport industry, and almost every journey my employer has pre-booked with these idiots, results in their incompetence making me late every time, usually by a half hour, several times by over an hour. Their telephone helpline staff are rude, and lie to you just to get you off the line, and subsequent calls result in your call being kept waiting and put on hold. Be warned. If you need to book a taxi, this lot will definitely let you down. As others have said, AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!
Yet again let down very badly. I booked a taxi and rechecked to see if it was still a valid booking and was told yes it was. So here we are on Wednesday 14 Dec and no one turned up at 1000 to take me from Edinburgh to Glasgow for a long haul international flight. When I contacted them they said the booking was pending. ????? I had to take my car and my daughter, she’s driving it back. This cause extreme stress and anxiety. This happened to me before when I was in Middlesbrough and the taxi would not wait 5mins even though the meter was running. The job was from Middlesbrough to Edinburgh. I was left standing with work equipment at 0300 in an area that I did not know. Just don’t bother with them it’s not worth the anguish.
Absolutely shocking service. I work for a taxi company and there is nothing but problems. Customers not there or picked up by someone else, wrong addresses, wrong vehicle registrations, extremely vague pick up point instructions. Customers then get angry with us for their incompetence!!
Appalling taxi outsourcing service for Southern Railway that always tries to source the cheapest taxi quote regardless of the time that the taxi will take to arrive even if that is one hourbor more.. Viceroy Cars of Epsom always automatically accepts CMAC taxi quotes only to then turn round and say it has no taxis available as it doesn't want 27 miles of unpaid running from Epsom to Horsham to pick up a fare. CMAC has no taxi firms on its books in Dorking and only one in Horsham. Hence why it can never pick up passengers at Dorking, Horsham or Ockley stations in s sane amount of time. Southern/GoAhead Group needs to end its current arrangements with CMAC and pick another taxi or private hire supplier instead.......
Bad customer service. Didn’t give me a chance to speak and understand the setuation. I can’t write a new review so edit this one. I am made the booking one day ago, and I get call at 720 your taxi will be there in 10m. The taxi arrived at 7:52 and when I asked the driver he said he got the booking at 7:35. How are they telling me that my taxi will be there at 10m when they have not even booked it.
Taxi arranged by EMR due to cancelled train. ETA given of 15:05, when taxi hadn't turned up at 15:50 I looked up CMAC number and asked what was going on. I was advised another 20 minutes and it would be there. Taxi eventually arrived at 16:20. Not very accurate information provided and would be better in contact number appeared in booking link rather than having to search for it.
Really awfull company don’t send a taxi after it’s been paid for and don’t call just fob you off with lies. Not the way to run an agency at all , so Unprofessional and awfull rude people. Avoid like the plague!
