Clumber Park Caravan and Motorhome Club Site
"Clumber Park campsite is set amongst 4000 acres of lush Nottinghamshire parkland. There are plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling and the site has a popular play area, great for the kids. There’s plenty to explore in what was once known as Sherwood Forest and the reminders of the area’s most famous resident, Robin Hood, are not to be missed. The Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre is a mere 10 miles from Clumber Park Caravan and Motorhome Club Campsite and offers lots of attractions to entertain and educate about this legendary figure. Visit the Major Oak, said to have been the hideout of Robin Hood and his merry men."

What a great club site! Clean, well maintained, great level pitches hardstanding - didn't stay on grass. Great kids play area and the facilities were fabulous, they should be as they've recently been refurbished. There was security walking the site, you are in the middle of nowhere remember, not there is anything to worry about either. There are security codes to exit and enter the site through very sturdy gates. Plenty of walks from site to take the pooch or just yourselves, you can quite easily walk for miles! Worksop is in easy driving distance for shopping for essentials but the small on site shop reception seemed well stocked. I'd advise adhering to the site arrival directions as other lanes on the estate are narrow with few passing places. Don't let the stone archway fool you, I got an 8ft wide caravan through no issues. Don't arrive before 1pm as even though you can pull off the road on to verges, it would be difficult to turn around plus vehicles are impacting the trees lining the main access road by compacting the ground.
We were a bit concerned about visiting this site after reading some of the recent reviews, but after visiting it I don’t really understand what some folks were on about. The site is really well maintained, the new shower and toilet blocks are probably the best we have seen. John, the warden was very helpful and polite. The site is very close to a National Trust property which is brilliant for walkers and cyclists and also there are key coded gates from the site straight in to the woods surrounding the site. Definitely recommend the site.
Our first caravan site since we bought our first caravan. Lovely site not long since been updated. Shower block lovely, clean and warm. Great facilities. Play park for the kids. The only down side is on phone signal which we knew when booking. But wifi available on site. Would definitely come again. Playground: The kids loved the playground. We pitched right opposite so could see kids from the caravan. Restrooms: Newly refurbished. Lovely clean and warm. Dog-friendliness: Dogs allowed on site. Plenty of walks to go on. Picnic area: Picnic tables dotted around the site.
Lovely site. Very clean. Very well maintained. Site has been closed for quite a while and you can see the work that has been done. Nearly all facilities look brand new. Dog friendly. Very expensive however because they charge you for the pitch then an extra charge per person. No shop as such just half a dozen very expensive items. Only negative was the manager named John. Extremely rude and arrogant. He is like a little Hitler. I was driving out of the site when I paused at a junction then as I drove off having driven only 20 yards he stopped me and accused me of speeding. When I told him my brother had died and I was in a hurry, his reply was "I don't care". When my husband confronted him later as I was so upset he said I was doing 30mph in a 5mph area. How on earth I can go from 0mph to 30mph in 20 yards is totally beyond me. Having said that, it will not stop us returning.
Had a really lovely stay. The amenities blocks have been renovated and are excellent. Site layout is good and the location, in the middle of clumber park couldn't be better. It's our 'go to' site if we want a few nights away without travelling far. Playground: There's a children's playground that has also been renovated and the grandchildren age range 9-11 loved it.
The most spectacular entrance to a camp site yet. Newly refurbished, nice and clean. A huge thank you to John and his wife im sorry i didn't get her name for squeezing us in last minute and they were so warm and welcoming, an absolute credit to the club. Always had time talk! Gd luck next season at ferry meadows
Clumber Park. Is a fantastic place for caravan and motor homes and tents. Stunning walks around the lake and forest area's. Lots to do and see. Plenty places to eat. Great for bikes rides for all ages. Gorgeous countryside, what more could you ask for. 10 out of 10 for me. Definitely recommend highly.
I really wanted to like this campsite in a great location but there is absolutely no privacy whatsoever. In front, either side or behind it is laid out like a refugee camp. Shockingly poor - not for me. There is no point bringing your own motorhome as it feels like you are sharing it with others. I mean put in some privacy screens or bushes. It seems all about getting as many in as they can. Money, money, money. To think there are close to 200 pitches. Oh and don’t forget to park in between the white pegs.
Superb site in the forested grounds of Clumber Park. Beautiful new facilities, underfloor heated showers, spacious pitches, and a great location for walking and cycling. Very helpful and friendly staff. Wood fired pizza van Saturday evenings not to be missed.
Great location and amazing new shower blocks, however it is laid out like a refugee camp with no privacy and pitches squeezed onto every inch of the site. We made the mistake of visiting over August bank holiday where we were surrounded by groups of large families sat around drinking all day, not for us.
