Nice. You’d probably stand in and go back to the past and try to image horses drawn carriages and beautiful ladies dressed in elegant clothes. Just in front of the bridge there is the crowned stone, the stone where it is said were crowned the 7 kings of England during middle age.
I love coming across these pieces of history randomly scattered around. Great to take the stairs down beside the bridge and take a look at some of the old brick work.
Kingston is the place, if you want to spend some quiet moments away from the stress
Considering this bridge is between 800-900 years old, it blends in well with the modern developments in Kingston. Must advise a quick walk down the pathway through the gate to experience the full picture of Medieval Kingston meeting modern Kingston
An interesting ancient bridge. Not too much to see, though.
Very unobtrusive, a plaque on a wall, and in between 2 buildings. Easy to locate, by the Rose Theatre and opposite the police station.
Cool looking place and a great way to learn
One of Kingston's many pieces of living, working history - a beautiful old bridge over the River Hogsmill
You would walk right past it if you didnt know where you were going. Cool piece of history.
Beautiful old bridge over River Hogsmill. It is said the name refers to the clattering of horses over it in the past!
