Vishal and his team at City Style Dry cleaners did a spectacular job at taking red powder off my wedding dress. I could not trust any other dry cleaners with my delicate garment expensive. They pay attention to every detail and, really worked hard to take the Permanent stain off. They knew how important this was for me. Vishal really made me feel comfortable and assured me they will take care of the item. They also have excellent facility for there dry cleaning process. There launderette is so clean and well organized. I have been to others and, it looks very confusing inside with clothes piled everywhere feeling very congested. I would recommend this place and would not think twice about it.
I brought two dresses in to be altered as they were too big on me. When I tried it on at the shop, we talked about what I wanted with me showing them how much I wanted taken in. The gentleman who was helping me said it was no problem - he said he’ll take it in and then quoted some approximate measurement I think he said 1-1.5inches. I thought it was weird he didn’t pin any of the clothes to make note of how much to take in, as this is generally how I’ve had alterations measured out, but I didn’t want to offend the person working on it since he’s the expert, not me. Unfortunately, it now appears that only one of the dresses seems to have been taken in by the right amount as the other is still a big tent on me. A shame as the guys in the shop were really nice and this location is so convenient, but given the lack of attention to detail, I’d say the process was a waste of time. I probably won’t come back with any more alterations.
I've lived in the area for the past year and I've used City Style Dry Cleaners many times and have always been very happy with their dry cleaning services. However, I recently brought in a large cushion that needed a new zipper. I asked them if it was possible to replace the broken one with a good industrial-strength zipper, and that I didn't care about the colour of the zipper matching the cushion since it was hidden anyway. I told them that I was willing to pay a good price if they could help me since I realize it might be an unusual request. They told me it was all good and they will call me back once it was ready for pick up. I called them two weeks later asking for an update since I haven't heard anything and they said the cushion is ready for pick up! I was excited but when I picked it up, I realize that they actually haven't replaced the zipper but instead sewn the part that kept breaking shut. I was very unhappy as they charged me for a zipper. I went back and asked what was the reason for not replacing the zipper and they explained that it is very difficult to find a zipper of that length of the same colour. First of all, I already explained that I didn't care about the colour but whatever, that might have got lost. I was okay with that but they really should have told me in advanced so I could have taken it elsewhere. They also sewed it without asking me first since the original request was the replace the zipper entirely, not to fix a broken one. It was then agreed that they would at least replace the runner of the zip which was causing a lot of the issues and that they would issue a partial refund since the actual zipper was never replaced. However, the refund could not be performed on the spot and that they would call me back later to do it over the phone. A few weeks pass and nobody called me to issue any partial refund or give me any credit to the store. I called them to ask what was going on and I spoke with the rudest person I have ever come across. After explaining the situation, the staff immediately started to yell at me, not giving me a chance to speak and kept telling me that they've put in a lot of hours and effort into replacing the zip and that I shouldn't be calling them for a refund. He kept patronizing me, calling me "buddy" and gas-lighting me as if I was the in the wrong. He then went on and asked if I realize there's something called COVID-19, as if that's an excuse for their extremely bad and rude customer service. If I could give this place a 0 star, I would. From the beginning of this transaction, I explained that I was willing to pay a decent price to replace an unusually long zipper. If they couldn't do it, I was happy to take it elsewhere, I never pressured anyone there that they must do it for me. I just wanted an honest service, and all I got was gaslighting, dishonesty, and extreme rudeness. Tip to management: if your business is failing, the last thing you want to do is to alienate your customers.
Brought two coats to be cleaned and one for repair. The repair wasnt done on one coat and ended up with a bigger hole in the coat then when I first brought it in and the coats weren't cleaned. I will never use them again.
Gave my coat in for a dry clean, express service same day - costing £24 Coat wasn't washed, nor was a roller used to remove lint. It was only pressed and given back. I challenged the staff however, due to needing it that evening, I had no choice but to take it. He said it was washed but I still had dirt on the collar and pockets. Will never return or recommend this place to others. Scamming people!!
I would highly recommended City Style Dry Cleaners to everyone! I moved into the area recently and had been searching for a quality dry cleaners. Having tried all the local dry cleaners in the Shoreditch and Angel area I have to say City Style Dry Cleaners was by far the best for quality, customer satisfaction and price. My work dresses came back looking new and the skirts pristine and the staff were warm and welcoming. I also had a terrible red wine stain on one of my white dresses, which I was pretty sure would be challenging to remove. But the helpful staff at City Style reassured me and managed to get the stain out. I have continued to go to City Style ever since and would not even bother going anywhere else. The quality of service is amazing and I advise all my fellow neighbours in the area only use City Style dry cleaners you will not be disappointed!!!
I have been bringing my dry cleaning and alterations to City Style for the past 8 years or so having moved into the area for work. These guys are by far the best!! They remember names, are fast, efficient, polite and extremely professional. The turn around time on clothes is always accurately quoted and the prices are very reasonable. I would highly recommend City Style to anyone in the area.
Having recently moved into an apartment in the city road area I tried many dry cleaners trying to find value for money and quality and city style has been the best by far. They have friendly helpful staff and I always have a good laugh with the brothers. The offers they have can not be beaten in the city area and quality is never compromised. If you are looking for a dry cleaner look no further and try this place it won't disappoint!
I only use them for alterations and wouldn’t go again. I left a dress for the sleeve to be sewed back and jeans to be shortened. The sleeve wasn’t fully sewed and for the jeans the thread they used wasn’t the same colour than the original dark brown used on white jeans.. They accepted to fix both issues when I complained. The result is even worse unfortunately. They managed to get the right thread this time but cut down a part of the jeans and sewed it back.. awful results. I have never worn those and they’ll end up in the bin as can’t be shortened more!
Disaster. I brought two dresses and one hand bag. One of the dresses had stained, I mentioned that. The bag really needed to be refreshed and had also few stains. When I got back the items one dress was not clean at all. All stains were still there. The bag still had all the stains. When I said I was not really happy with that and I didn't want to be charge the maximum £28 they reply than they can't do more anyway as the fabric of the dress is too light and about the bag they had washed it twice anyway. They didn't offer any discount but said they could try to clean the dress one more time... they kept the dress and I had to pay for the all thing. Back home with only one dress and the bag I realised that it was even dirtier than before and smelled very strongly a chemical product. The other dress had been ironed with crises and, ice on the cake, a snag at the back! Both dresses are 100% pure silk and I had worn them only once each. I am gutted! I strongly recommend not to go there if you want to clean delicate fabrics. I must add that the guy before me who was picking several shirts up seemed really happy with the work. So I guess for classical requests the work is ok but clearly not for delicate work. Also, I didn't like the fact that they didn't even offer a discount whilst they saw that the dress and the bag were still clearly dirty.
