Was married here last Saturday and can’t thank the staff enough for helping us pull the day off. Neal was amazing in his job of coordinating, a really pleasant gent to deal with and a real credit to the venue he put all our worries at ease. Kirsty the catering manager made sure we were looked after on the night too so massive thank you. All the staff who man the door have been pleasant and very accommodating while we have been dropping materials in and out of the venue in the run up. Couldn’t recommend this venue enough, most importantly all our guests have offered feedback and were stunned with the venue! Thanks very much team!!
Attended Synth & Strings production - classical trance. Very nicely put together set. The venue is an amazing setting. Acoustics were spot on, as were the lighting and lasers. Only let down was the speed of the bar service. Despite having 3 bars in the event, I still had a 45-minute wait for a few drinks.
Went to see a concert, part of Celtic connections. It was my first time, what an amazing venue, so quirky and full of history, really cozy. The sound was good too!
The orchestra is excellent, the pieces are very well picked so even one that is not necessarily known to everyone can offer a great experience, the staff is very helpful and kind. The quality of sound is very good. The service overall offers a very satisfactory and enjoyable to anyone no matter their age group The only thing I would suggest to improve the service would to clearly indicate the row when looking a specific row to find your seat and to also label the seat number so there can be no confusion or time wasted when looking for a specific seat even though it doesn't usually happen
Terrific venue for amazing live music. Seats are a little too close together but the acoustics are amazing.
An incredible venue, steeped in history. Great sound for a gig and it’s cosy enough to feel quite intimate. Drinks are decently priced. The lighting is beautiful - it’d be an amazing venue for a wedding. Went to see The Twilight Sad stripped back and it was incredible. Would love to come back. Bit of a challenge getting in and out because there’s only a small door in one corner but it didn’t detract.
Staff were very pleasant, understanding and the venue was impeccable. Good sound with reasonably comfy seats.
Come here often to see the Scottish Symphony Orchestra perform and it's always a fantastic time! Music is great and so is the venue
Tonight live at the City Halls is the coolest man on the planet John Cooper Clark. Supported by one of my favourite Mancunians and modern day Poet's Mike Garry. Their poetry is what should be taught in school nowadays, resonates more to me than Shakespeare ever did! Great venue old style building, we were seated on the balcony excellent view, clear audio.
I was at the Riverside gig on the 18th May 24. Fantastic gig as expected but was blown away with the venue. First time I have attended a concert there and was very impressed. Great friendly staff too. Look forward to coming back again
