I wanted to book a taxi from Hove train station to somewhere in Hove but I was told that there is a taxi rank just outside the station. I said I want to book it in advance because I am on my way and want to make sure I will find a taxi when it is raining outside but no luck. They probably do not like short distance journeys! Avoid...

Just waited 40 minutes for a taxi that I was told would be 10 minutes. When I called to find out where it had got to, the operator said they were having a busy period, would have been nice for them to mention this on booking or at least give me a call after 20 minutes

The car was new and clean, and arrived more or less on time. However the driver was incredibly aggressive and rude when I asked him to take a quick detour. I had to do last minute storage and I tried to be as quick as possible. And he said "I better not miss my next client because of you." I have never ever had a cab driver speak to me like that, I wasn't deliberately going out of my way to delay him. He then had a personality transplant and became chatty and friendly afterwards. I think they ought to screen their drivers.
