Offering after-work evening classes to weekend and day courses, our team of experienced professionals from theatre, film and television deliver expert, hands-on classes in some of London's most prestigious venues including the Sadler's Wells, the Dominion Theatre and Soho Theatre.

I attended the beginners painting course and had a wonderful time. The course tutors were brilliant, it was really fun and I’m excited to book another course soon. Highly recommend :
I completed the How to Draw course for beginners and absolutely recommend it. It was absorbing, informative, challenging and super fun as each week we explored different mediums - from pencil drawing to charcoal, pastel, Conte crayon, and pen and ink. Dominic is a wonderful tutor - very knowledgeable, helpful, engaging, supportive, encouraging and with a great sense of humour. I am planning to take other art courses at the City Academy to continue learning.
I'm in the middle of a 5-day musical theater intensive class. The City Academy experience has been so joyful to my heart. And I wish my stay was longer so I could continue studying here. Industry professionals as instructors, safe and clean facilities were easy to get to, and lots of studios for classes. I'm going to have to figure out how to come back for 2025.
Amazing environment with lots of different creatives to learn from. I had an amazing time being there, location is also perfect ! Did the Screen Acting Intensive and our teachers Darren, Mark, Toby and Victoria were absolutely amazing. Would come back anytime !!!!!
Just want to say how impressed I was with the beginners ballroom session with Irina yesterday July23rd 2024. She was very enthusiastic and positive. Her instructions were very clear. Her demos were great. She also was able to help people at an individual level as well as a group level. I learnt so much and had a lot of fun.
I have just finished a drawing for beginners course with Sheila, and I am so pleased with the experience. Sheila is a great artist and a great teacher, and her classes were always engaging and fun. I can't wait to do another class with her, I might even give watercolour a go! I'm also currently doing an improvers course with Tim, and I am loving this one too, his enthusiasm is contagious! My experience with City Academy is nothing but brilliant
I had an amazing experience with the Screen Acting Foundations Course 3 months intensive. The tutors where really supportive and we've all learned and improved so much during our time here. Also the showreel scenes and short films we received are really well shot and edited! The production value and all the videos we got is very high. And the directors really got good stuff out of all of us as well. If you're looking for a place to challenge yourself and really get better at your craft. If you want to get to know the industry and how to approach agents and all that - I feel like this is the right place for you. : Thanks for having me!
Morgan Watkins is a wonderful and experienced tutor. This was my first experience with acting, and he is the perfect tutor for the occasion. Thanks to Morgan's great tutoring and amazing style, my partner and I are continuing this adventure with an intermediate-level acting class at City Academy. Thank you, Morgan!
I just completed the Digital Photography for Beginners class and it was exactly what I wanted - a solid grounding in the basics with a bit of inspiration to use my camera more. James was a super teacher - very knowledgeable and encouraging plus he made the course fun. It was a small group but felt personalised as he helped each of us with our specific cameras and goals. I'd love to take another course or workshop to continue learning.
Highly recommend CITY ACADEMY!! The people there work with love and passion for PERFORMANCE ART!! Not just a job. Uceh, Elizabeth, Peter, Chris and all at CITY are very helpful and make me feel very welcomed, even though a Beginner in the 4Weeks Singing Intensive. The Teachers were just incredible- Experienced, Dedicated and got our back to ensure an experiential, learning experience for us all. My classmates were the Bestest!!!! From every location in the world, some experienced, some beginners but all very supportive and kind. I LOVED MY TIME THERE!! And Look forward to another 4Weeks or more next summer.
