I'll be honest am made up you moved to steel street and we cancelled our booked wedding now .... cos your reviews say it all. Told us in November 16 that our June 17 wedding in the Albert dock venue would be moved to that cheap no atmosphere of a place ... everyone who I know has been the new place says it lacks atmosphere, character and the venue itself is awful. You had gorgeous dockside views, stunning refurbished interior, character, unique amazing shows, amazing staff and well known entertainment throughout night and traded all that in to make money on the hen party scene ... well done circo you made yourself look like proper clowns. 🤡🤡🤡

Went to circo sat 31st /03/2018 went with 8 other ladies age range 19 -64 , what a disaster first shown to our booked table only to be shown two separate tables then we were told nowrong area ,then ushered to a booth sat down ordered drinks only to be told no red wine ,no red wine in a top cabaret venue? OK can we have 2 Guinness sorry no Guinness ? We asked our waitress if they could get some red wine tesco is only on the corner ,7 ladies received their drinks we settled in our seats only to be told sorry in the wrong seats yet again we moved only to be put in two separate booths the manager came with 2nd bottles of red wine and declared that he had bought the red wine out of his own pocket did he have to declare that? Next came the food served on wooden trays we thought that it was the starters oh no that was it a couple of ribs some chips ,small cocktail sausages chicken strips,cheesy mac balls,and deep fried cauliflower with some flat bread we paid £40 per head for this so ok the entertainment starts nothing spectacular, music good got people dancing , only saw the waitress twice then the bill arrived ok they didn't charge us for our first round of drinks (we need a drink after moving round the club up and down stairs to get seated) but then they charged us £4 per head for service charge , that was the funniest part of the evening l laughed out loud we got that waived for our inconvenience. Overall it was an awful evening we went there for a fortieth birthday never again £360 wasted ,we only stayed because it cost much and we didn't want the birthday girl upset . They said you can dance on the tables glad we didn't as one table close by collapsed if they want people to dance on tables make sure they are bolted down.

Don't let the few bad reviews put you off if you are thinking of booking. I can highly recommend it. Staff were very attentive, friendly & professional, the food was good not a great choice but what we had was very nice and again all very well organised. The acts during the meal were of a high standard & professional the main act was a bit disappointing & shorter than anticipated but a great party atmosphere & lots of fun overall a great experience.

Bought a voucher off Living Social for a 3 course meal for 2. Booked in with Circo and on the day of our booking we turned up to the venue entirely closed. No notification, nothing! Messaged them and got an excuse saying something due to change of staff and I should contact Living Social for a refund. Despite getting a reminder email from Circo the day before about my booking. What’s funny is i’ve now received an email asking for feedback about my visit HA. Terrible service. Definitely won’t look to visit again!

Just had a hen-do at Circo and do not recommend at all. You pay £55 for a show evening with a 3-course meal that actually only lasts 2 hours. You are wrongly told at the time of booking that you can stay the whole evening (until 4am) but in actual fact, if you want to stay after the dinner & show (after 9pm), you need to come out and pay another £25 to get back in! On top of that, the dinner is very basic and mediocre, the setting of the place cold & not welcoming and the show is so-so. Plus, every time you order a drink, you can't put it on the table and need to pay straight away. Their card machine wasn't working for a while so we had to pay cash. Finally, at the end of the meal, we were brought the bill asking us to pay for our dinner whereas we were already asked to pay for the full balance 2 days before the evening. Very disappointing!
