Take out adventure, anyone? We drove over an hour yup! from Canterbury for this Chinese food and… it was worth it! I’m actually NOT a lover of Chinese food but my friend has spoken about China Palace, Docklands for years where he would go after work in this commercial district. Then today, on a whim, we hit the road so I could put it to the test. We didn’t order until we arrived, waited no more than ten minutes in the car, turned around and drove back home. Just over an hour later the food was still warm and fresh and yes, I admit, delicious. It’s the best take out I’ve had in ages, and better than any traditional Chinese food I’ve eaten in Canterbury. I’m surprised to see such a wide range of ratings and reviews here, and can’t imagine that this same restaurant could have delivered any food or service under four stars; though based on our experience today I give it five for take out. But this was only my first time, so who’s to say? I will for one, because it won’t be my last take out trip to China Palace!

The food is way too expensive for the quality. The service is borderline rude. There was only one other table when we went, but we had to look for the waiters.. I wouldn't recommend it. There are better service and better food for cheaper elsewhere.Food: 3/5

Great dim sum. Authentic Chinese food. Great service and relaxing atmosphere. Will definitely visit again.

So happy to have found such a good Chinese restaurant with dimsums at lunchtime too. Ate there 3 times in 2 days and will be happy to go again!

Horrible service and nasty food. No one attended to us unless we flagged them down. 2 waitresses literally ignored us and walked away. The food was completely bland and had no flavor. Not even salt. The sweet and sour chicken tasted like old with sauce poured all over it, and the fried rice was more burnt than fried. Would leave zero stars of I could. Never again.

Food is really nice BUT the service is horrible. Staff were very rude and we were asked to leave immediately right after finishing the food. We are not a bad customer after all. We are just sitting and enjoying the food. We are just sitting there for maybe around less than 30 minutes for our dinner.

Went last night with my wife and a sister in law. We were the only customers in there. Loads of staff but service was not good. Staff were busy cleaning up, preparing we think for the next day. Food was average. But we had to ask for cutlery. Then soy sauce. Then salt. Let’s just say the staff were not attentive, talking amongst themselves, joking on etc, not good for business I say. Been to a fantastic Chinese in China town today. A league above last nights event. I’m well travelled, my wife is from an Asian country. We appreciate good food at a price with good service. Even if it’s in a roadside cafe in a foreign country. Which we have enjoyed numerous times. Would we go back to China Palace, NO WAY !

Honestly the nicest Chinese food I've ever had. Lovely atmosphere, wonderful service staff. Would absolutely recommend to anyone! Very affordable, good scran! I didn't catch the waitress' name but she was blonde, and was absolutely lovely, and extremely friendly.

A very Hk style dim sum. It is very delicious. If you miss HK dim sum, you should come here.

Don't really know what to say...... One of the waitress, her name is "ask my manager"..... With this kind of service, u charge me 12.5% for service? I'm not asking difficult things, just to order 1 more item and ask for bill, I think it's easy enough for u to pass the message rather than tell ur guest to speak to ur manager. Quality of food ..... It will be a 4 stars if this restaurant is in the highland, unfortunately u are in London, this is just not acceptable. The only good thing about the food is..... They are hot. Highly recommend NOT to give a go.
