Hubby and I had an Indulgence Spa Day booked for today however, due to staff sickness we were downgraded to a mini spa day which was totally fine, we were called on Friday and informed - here is our honest review:nValue for Money - on the face of it, spa access, pool, 25 minute massage & 2 course lunch for £80.nSpa - first impressions, lovey spa however it was far too overcrowded. Every place we went too, if we were longer than a few minutes, other people would keep looking over and you felt you had to get up and move. There wasn't enough space for the amount of people in there.nPool - was nice, a little bit dark & when we first got there the pool was full of aqua aerobics so we were unable to swim for an hour.nMassage - was OK, the masseuse was very good at finding the problem areas but there is definitely room for improvement.nLunch - the food was amazing. The server we had was so lovely and attentive towards us.nOverall - we had a nice time but there is definitely room for improvement. I guess we had heard so many good things and maybe we were a bit disappointed.
Came to use the driving range and Adventure golf. Great service and facilities. Adventure golf looks very new and tidy, very cute.nNo need to book, was not busy which is always a very pleasant surprise in Cornwall, in August.nAte in the upstairs restaurant afterwards and was very nice food, reasonably priced.
Lovely studio apartment with tea, coffee, squash compliments. And washing up liquid, tea towel and cloth. The bed was huge and comfortable. We stayed for two night's, and our room was cleaned, bed made and towels changed. We had breakfast and evening meals, which was excellent. Good size portions and excellent tasty meals. All staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities and indoor pool brilliant. I had a Signature Pedicure which was excellent. I would definitely recommend and I would definitely like to stay again. Oh and hubby enjoyed playing golf.
Great place to stay for business as you do get full use of the facilities. I usually avoid the restaurant as have not found the food that great quality wise however the rooms are equipped to make your own meals. The carpark is quite a walk when you have many bags, a temp stay waiting area to unload would be grand but until then, just have to make a few trips or bring a little camp trolley
I went here for a funeral after-party. It was a sad occasion but the staff were so nice and just helped, I was worried they would bombard me with questions like had happened In the past at other pubs.nnFood does get a little expensive but is quality. Drinks are also expensive, not worth the money but it isn't the worst.
