I've visited the pub a few times at various points of the week over the last few months, all the bar staff are very welcoming and sociable. All are happy to make you feel at home. Drinks poured to perfection. It has a great atmosphere, a quiet backroom which is excellent for the football and have had no unsavory incidents which has ruined the reputation in the past. Great work to the staff and owner of the chi Arms on really improving this place over the last few months
Excellent no nonsense watering hole opposite the Metro station. Sensibly priced beers in a comfortable large lounge. Staff are very friendly.Service: 5/5

Only came access it while going to Metro station so glad we did! ! Lovely atmosphere cracking music drinks selection excellent and very friendly staff We came back next day and have booked to stay in South Shields in April so returning with family worth a visit
It has decent drink but is more expensive than i would.go to on a normal basis but other than that it is a very nice pub and would Recommend to anybody who does not know shields very well. If you are looking for somewhere to meet a new lass or guy this is the place you look for because it will .Ake for a good date. Thank you for reading my review you can take my advice if you like.
Reasonable prices. Get good crowd in and young girl behind bar very polite . She working alone the night I was in and coped very good still interacted with customers Def keep going in kareoke was brilliant
It the chi arms man .. karaoke on a Sunday night .. they do good pints and the Guinness is really nice. Shorts not so much. Some people find the place a bit edgy like a fight is going to break out at any moment but I have never seen such a thing there.
Nice friendly pub with good choice of beers. Location leaves traffic noise during quiet times, but when full you never notice. Live music on frequently with acts published in advance. Very handy for the Metro, being right nextdoor.
