Good pick for Chettinad cusine lovers. The portions are a bit small. The food is flavourful. The place gets quite busy for dinner. Hence, a reservation is highly recommended. They also charge a service fee of 10% by default, which may come to some as a surprise. Overall, it's worth a try.Food: 4/5
Amazing food, authentic taste, and good service. The Veg and the Non veg platters were really yummy and good portions. We further tried the Paratha and the Chicken Curry, which were very well prepared. The Chocolate Dosa was quite nice as well. Good location and full house. Highly recommended.
Such a surprise that it’s authentic, even better than the ones i tried in California! It was spicy , but able to manageWaiter was really nice, explaining the dishes and the spicyness. Very kind and very helpful.Food: 5/5
Price is very high, portion is not enough for an adult, have to order 2 plus meals to fill ur tummy, then it will be around 30£ for single person. food quality and tast is okay okay, staffs are nice, washroom is very tiny and won't be able to turn properly. No separate hand washing area, Not sure about the parking. For 2 of us, we spent almost 60£ including unfair service charges which is above 10%, that's without any drinks, I am not sure how they got this much review, the reviews are misleading people to visit here. I guess there are nice restaurants with reasonable price range in nearby areas. Not recommended to anyone.
Good variety of vegetarian and vegan options to try here. We ordered the pre-meal snack, veg thali, and masala dosa. Each dish was flavourful, though the masala dosa had a bit more spice than expected. It was nice and quiet during our weekday visit, so we could relax and take our time. Definitely a spot worth visiting for good food in a cozy atmosphere.
Loved the Medu Vada Ullundu Vadai We visited this restaurant yesterday , ordered Medu Vada, Bonda , Mysore masala dosa, Rava Dosa , Chicken Chettinadu curry Medium spicy ,chapati and lemon rice. Ambience is pretty decent and a bit cramped in terms of the number of covers and tables arrangement . Staff are very service friendly and efficient , the manager is fabulous. Quick service gave us a good experience Food wise , portion size is decent withstanding the Indian restaurants in central location and the prices too. Ullundu Vadai was outstanding and the best I have ever had in the UK - Deserves a 5 and highly recommended Bonda was tasty and sumptuous. The only disappointment was the masala potato stuffing in the Dosas as they lacked salt , spices and were completely bland . However , I still would recommend this place for a decent meal and amazing staff .
A disappointment, went here with high expectations with a few friends all from South India and the food was just average at best. The thali was full for making it sound fancy and full but all the dishes were having similar taste. We checked if some of the dishes can be swapped with others that we wanted but they said no. We ended up wasting a lot of food as we just could finish it. Service wasnt great either. For the price i would anyday go to East Ham for authentic South Indian food instead of here. Vada was nice and the only highlight.
After a two weeks in Norway and Finland, I was craving for some Indian food to appease my taste buds. My son zeroed in on this restaurant after some Google searches. We tried calling for a reservation but were told to come around 8:30 pm. We reached early and the staff was so kind and we were lucky to get a table as it was only two of us. The atmosphere was lively, buzzing cacophony of diners enjoying their meals over their weekend spirits. We chose the Sea food Thali for my son and a Non Veg Thali for myself. I was also ordering an appetiser and the kind Manager asked us if we were very hungry; I took the clue and resisted as the Thali was tough to finish. The food was brilliant- we were served hot Rasam and Papad which we tucked in so gladly. The mutton curry, chicken dry fish, the daal soul food for me, the paratha crispy and flaky… the sea food thali was also superb. The sheera dessert in the thali was a perfect way to end the meal. Glad that we went here for a meal.
The Chicken Biryani was decent, though it was spicier than I anticipated. The restaurant's convenient location, just a short walk from my hotel in Covent Garden and right in the heart of the city, made it an easy dining choice.Food: 4/5
We randomly visited this restaurant, the staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Food was amazing, the best one for us was Medu Vadai. Along with it the thali, and dosas were too good as well. Thanks so muchFood: 5/5
