Arriving at Chester station found that one of the lifts was out of order I only had a few minutes to catch my train and having injured my leg was daunted when had to climb stairs however a lovley helpful and friendly young Vicki came to my rescue she helped me up the stairs carried my suitcase she is a credit to the staff. Thanks Vicki much appreciated and you were so friendly

Excellent customer service. Young man on desk extremely helpful. Got us into a train straight away as we needed to get back urgently and all other staff members on way back also extremely helpful.

Nice frontage in mock-castle style. Inside it's a big, open, cold and draughty train shed. All the usual station facilities, but not a place to spend much time, if you can avoid it.

Overall a 3.5 from me. Good range of services to destinations such as London, Manchester, Liverpool,North Wales and sometimes Birmingham. Good range of facilities and adequate toilets. Plenty of taxis and buses but parking can be a pain. Ticket machines and offices can have a queue. Good wheelchair facilities and help.

An attractive railway station served by a variety of trains. Loco hauled passenger trains pass through daily and there's a few steam specials passing through each year.
